Default C8 seat protection

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any seat protection? I saw a video of "immaculate paint protection" film that was applied onto the seats to protect it from things like denim stains. If there's any tips on how to go about protecting seats without having to put on one of those seat covers, that would be great to hear about!

I’ve heard good things about Gyeon Leather Shield.

My friend who does ceramic coating uses a System X product that he can apply to fabric and leather. He claims it will protect the seats from any type of dirt including die transfer from denim. I have no idea if it works, I have not had it done yet, but once my car is back from PPF I am taking it to him for ceramic and interior treatment.

I have never tried this, but I was told you can ceramic coat leather. Google it or check out this link:

Got me curious .... so I looked at CeraTex from The Last Coat. I've been using The Last Coat on the C8 as it was recommended by my detailer. I haven't tried it but did look at this video... Hmmmmm

I applied Gyeon Leather shield to the tan parts of my seats. Seems to work well, but I can't compare it to the untreated seats or any other product. It's a Ceramic designed for leather.

I haven't noticed any blue from my jeans, or any other significant dirt.

Does it feel slippery or crack anywhere? Just curious if it affects the overall comfort of the seat.

I've also used Gyeon Leather shield and am extremely satisfied. I applied it two times, one year apart. Very natural finish and red seats look awesome. I picked up my 2020 in December 2020. It has almost 12K miles.

I used Gyeon on my two tone sky cool gray and black seats and interior. I have been very pleased and no stains after 4500 miles on my 23 C8 Z51 HTC. Very easy to use once you thoroughly clean and dry the seats first.

These have nor positive reviews yet but they look stylish yet effective. Better yet you can still see the seat you paid thousands of dollars for.

Another endorsement for Gyeon leather shield. Similar to above have applied 2x to SCG/black interior. No jean transfer and any smudges wipe off.

Really no difference in look or feel in the Vette although it did make the seats in the Range Roller a bit slick.

I may have to check out the Gyeon Leather Shield. I get some jean dye transfer on my light gray seats.

It's a car; drive the thing... like with any other! If you still have it when it needs work, find a good upholsterer (they can do wonders) and have it fixed or "restored" as necessary. Now, ENJOY!!!

I continue to disagree with this attitude. One should take care of one's possessions. Yes, like Leno, drive it and then fix it or restore it, but other than laziness and finances there is no reason not to take care of a special automobile like the C8.

Hope y'all have some fun,
Robert
