People that have the front axle lift option, is it worth it?
I'm just wondering. It seems like something I would definitely want as I've scraped the underside of my front end of my C6 Z06 on numerous things, but I'd like to hear from people that have it.

I too scraped with the C 6. I think the C 8 has more clearance in the front. Maybe not needed, but I ordered it on my C 8 anyway and use it some, but not as much as I thought I would.

I have it on my 2023 C8 and for me, it was worth it. It is especially useful if you have a steep driveway, live in an area with speed bumps and when visiting shopping areas with speed bumps. It is very easy to use and for it to "Memorize" a location for a future visit where it will lift on its own once near that area. Others will say it is not worth the extra cost and others will swear by having it.

I have it and knew I would want it after my experiences with my C7.
If you live in a flat area without big dips and that has gradual driveway entrances, and you don't plan on road trips, then you don't need the lift. Most times you can go slow and at an angle to avoid scraping.
If you want to drive the C8 without going slow and at an angle to avoid scraping in places where other cars don't need to take evasive measures then the lift is worth the money.
I've lightly scraped with my car lifted in some entrances. It would have been nasty without the lift.

Yes. I would not order a C8 without it.

It depends on where you live, your driveway, etc.
Mine gets used 2 or 3 times a day. So for me it is worth it. And if there is any concern about the driveway angle or whatever, I will use it anyway.

I would just get it, because it can only be installed from factory. And to have it during situations where you need it is extremely useful.
Also if are going to install a new front splitter, it may be lower so front lift helps!
You can add after market bags for the functionality of the lift but that’s after market, not from factory.

I have a 23 C8 no Z51 with a 5VM front splitter. I have scraped the splitter on more occasions than I can remember. I wouldn't be without it. If you don't have a front splitter (non Z51) then you may not need it if in a non-hilly or severe dip area. My driveway isn't very steep, but with a splitter I wouldn't get in or out even on a 45* entry/exit without it.I'm in NW FL.

This...
I got the front lift on my 2021 non-Z51 because where I work I have to go over several large speed humps and my driveway has a pretty good dip (swale) in it. I set the front lift location data and used it everyday, even though I found I didn't scrape at any of the locations. When I replaced my 2021 with a 2023 Z51, I do not get the lift and don't regret it. Honesty, I was only using the lift because I had it and not because I needed it.

Everyone who has the front lift option is going to say it is worth it, including me. Use it for my driveway, bank and at one grocery store to mention a few locations.

I didn't order it on my car. I figured if I could manage the lower sitting C7 ZR1 that needed it, I could surely manage the Stingray without it. There are times when it may be useful, but I don't regret not getting it.

All depends on the roads you drive. In the Central Florida area I live, it's used every trip. From exiting my driveway to pulling on to the nearest interstate highway which I scraped the first time because I misjudged the steepness of the entry and didn't lift the front. All the shopping centers nearby have atrocious entries. They either pitch up or down abruptly and have steep gutters. Years ago, I lived in South Florida and had a lowered Subaru BRZ as a fun day driver. It was a lot lower than the C8 and I never scraped it. Everything there was as flat as flat could be. Take a look around your usual driving routes and see if you think you need it or not. You can buy it and maybe never or hardly ever use it or need it and not have it.

If I still lived in Florida, I would never have needed it. But in Colorado Springs I use it on every drive. Once a I find a high spot, I just program it and never fails. It usually goes up a few hundred feet before and down a few hundred feet past the location. Just need to slow down below 25 mph for it to operate. It is a great option, but some steep inclines still require a 45 degree angle.

I would occasionally scrape the underside of my other Vettes (C5 - C7) and would have purchased a Front Lift system if it was available back then.
Now that I have the C8 with Front Lift, I wouldn't go back to living without it.

For me in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area it's an option that is not needed.
I've had my C8 2+ years and have never used it or needed it. Of course I'm weary of dips and always take angles coming out and into my driveway that has a rolled curb that's about 4". I'm not interested in lowering my C8 but if your considering doing this down the road then get this option.

My experience mimics yours with my former C6 and C8. I chose the aero delete option which eliminated the front splitter so I have even more front clearance than a typical Z51. I don't use the front lift as much as I expected because of the extra clearance.

One of the reason I am glad I got the front lift is the peeling headlight problem. I think if you do drag it. It Pushes up on that front fascia which I think possibly might make everything grind together thereby chipping paint ??
