A Kid Going to the Candy Store
Yesterday, I bought home my new baby, a 2022 C8, HTC, Z51, I bought it with pretty much every factory option, and today, I drove it for the first time. Here is my brief review: WOW!! I loved my C7, and I'd have another one of them, but this one surpasses my wildest dreams of driving. 15 mpg and 28 on the highway works for me. Right now, I have 605 miles on her and that number is going up very soon!
Tomorrow, if it rains as forecasted, I'll spend the day reading the OM and figuring out how to make everything in the car work...meanwhile, if you guys and ladies have any tips or tricks I should know of, please let me know. Meanwhile, here are a few pics of my car "in the wild." LIterally my half mile driveway....

Congrats on your car! Very nice. Torch red was my internal struggle when optioning my 23 HTC! Here I go again with the could a should a would a on a decision already made! That one is stunning. I too went with the Stringray r treatment for the contrast the hood decal offers, black roof and nacelles, the low spoiler option in CF black and black rocker extensions, black wheels on the Arctic White car. Enjoy the ride!

Thanks so much! I'm looking forward to the ride! Torch Red was my wife's request. It is a color befitting a sports car, personally I like white and black, but black is a bad choice for the Oregon Coast, LOL

I have followedyour C7 posts in the past. What a beautiful part of the country and the car looks right at home there. Hope to have mine in another week or so. I plan on driving it up your way in the future.

Wait for the 1500mi break-in to be over for the entire drivetrain.
I changed my DCT filter early during the break in process around 700mi, and then again around 1750 miles. (partially because I have evidence that my car was DRIVEN HARD during PDI based on OnStar driving report)
MyMode is a sticky mode, so every time you get in the car, turn the dial to mymode until it sticks there at startup. (unless you like the mushy cadillac ride feel in touring)
In mymode settings you can set everything to basically Sport level settings. I suggest setting the suspension to the middle setting to prevent bent rims (assuming you have MSRC).
You can then set Z-mode to be all the way to track settings with PTM set to sport. (assuming you have PTM / Z51).
You will want to set your seat position for entry/exit and driving position 1. At Ron Fellows I learned to move my position quite a bit more forward than I was previously driving.
If you have PDR, set it to auto-record and get a large SD card.
If you want to play MP3's via a large size SD card, you use the jack in the center console and need to format the card using ExFat. There is a free SD card formatting tool for windows that makes this formatting step easier.
Get a tow hook, and keep a copy of this DCT neutral shifting steps from the OM handy:
