Anyone remove the Stingray off the trunk lid
Took delivery of the car last night. I was doing the walkthrough and I couldn't help but think the Stingray is ugly. LOL I am 99% sure its just applied with double sided tape with no holes but wanted to confirm. Its coming off when car gets home later.

IMO it provides a good spot to push on to close the trunk.

Use fishing line in a sawing motion. Most of the remaining adhesive should come off by rolling the edge’s with your thumb. A little goof off or goo gone should handle the rest.

I've thought about it. I do agree its not attractive but someday, this car will belong to someone else and they probably would want it.
Lots of online videos to remove emblems on youtube.

Mine was removed when the stripes were installed. Never reinstalled it.

Thanks fellas that answered my question. I remove emblems from everything. LOL I think we are long gone of the days where the emblem had "posts" on the back. LOL Finishing line and goo gone then hit it with rubbing compound if a older car, then complete with a fresh coat of wax to protect the surface and revive from the trauma of goo gone on your paint/wax and BAM!!! Good to go. I always use my thumb. I removed the side body molding from a truck I bought a couple weeks ago and the backing from years was rock hard. My son let me borrow a 3M wheel and that thing was fricking magic. I did burn the paint at first but once I slowed down and figured out what I was doing it made easy work of the glue. I wont be using this on the Corvette but if I ever need to remove old emblems and/or scuffs in the paint this wheel is the chit. I could of saved my thumbs and pointer finger prints long ago. HAHAHA

Personally I like the rear Stingray badge but I did remove the front Cross Flag. With the front cross gone the design lines on the hood and front fascia really popped.
