Default Rear park assist credit at time of order...how to verify

When I ordered by 2022 C8, the components for the rear park assist were not available, so this showed up as a $50 credit on my build sheet.

How do I confirm if this option was included when built and if not, where to check on availability for having this added?

Look at the window sticker which will show what options were built and there will be a line where the $50 credit is deducted.

GM said parts to retrofit vehicles that whipped without it would be available by the end of this year. But check with your dealer. They're the ones will will get the part and install it.

Thanks for pointing me to the window sticker Bob and Amoreloba. Looks like my park assist was installed, according to the sticker.

Do you check with the dealer who you bought it from? I now live 2 states away from where I bought my car.
Or can any dealer install it?
Very confusing!

Any dealer can do it. Or any dealer that sells Corvettes, at least.

Actually was Feb to end of 2022 production which was mid May. Don't wait for a letter. Tell your dealer to get it.

2022 cars built after April 11 of 22 had the rear park assist installed at the factory.

Somewhere around serial # 21442.

RPA retrofits are now underway. All one has to do is call any dealer and provide them with the VIN to confirm a '22 MY car that had it deleted. The dealer can then order with the provided VIN, and GM has records of which cars had it deleted.

Ours is being retrofitted day after tomorrow, and the dealer has confirmed that they have received the necessary module.

I called my dealer (usually very good with work on my C8) three weeks ago. They said they would order the part and get back to me when it came in. I checked again one week ago - still not in and they again promised to get back to me. I have seen on other threads that it only took a few days to a week to get the retrofit part, so now I'm wondering what happened to mine.

For those that received the $50.00 credit, Call this number 800.222.1020 for General Motors customer Service and tell them you are calling about "Rear Park Assist" retrofit program number N222375790. This will get the ball rolling. Do it ASAP to get in line. Have your VIN and preferred dealer info ready.
Uou could also just ask your dealer I guess.

Called my dealer today and they stated that the retrofit program is going by vin number. They looked up my vin and it had been OK to order the module for my car since Feb 15. So don't wait for a letter folks although my dealer told me they were surprised that I had not been notified.

My eligibility for the install showed up in the MyChevy app as a recall dated 2/17.

I had my RPA module installed today, as well as the required annual oil change. I pulled up to the service counter at 9am, and I was on the road at 1030a, so it is a simple 45 minute procedure, which includes removing the trunk tub, plugging in the module, and reflashing the software so that it's recognized. It works great.
