Default Am I imagining Things?

I don’t ever remember seeing this park indicator here in the corner.

Don't use your parking brake much, do you?

Yep, I see it all the time and look for it because the E brake is a button and not some thing that can be readily be seen hidden on the lower dash panel by the drivers left knee. Now you know it's there you will be looking for it.

It appears the update is now setting the park brake every time the car is shut down. It never did that before. However I still have the Fourth of July on my dash.

I noticed that today but I don’t think the brake goes on when you put it in park unless you are on a steep incline.

I'd like it if this is actually the case. However, they'd need an option in the settings to not set the EPB after a track session (unless it monitors brake temperature and doesn't engage when too hot).

I guess if it automatically sets after a track session you can immediately release it.

For street use, though, I'd be happy to have it set automatically. I always use it, and the button location is terrible.

I think I saw the same PARK warning light when I restarted my car after having the front end raised on Rhino Ramps.

Mine did the same thing immediately after the update, one drive and it all went away.

Thank God my update went off without a hitch. It did set the parking brake.

It appears the update has also turned the auto set on the parking brake on. I have never had the brake do an incline auto set before now after the update it’s setting by itself. It’s a pain in the ***.

Haven't had an update in months. We'll see if it affects 2020s.

I agree it would be good for street use. But they also need to make it so it automatically releases when the car is shifted out of Park instead of after some throttle is applied.

Does the parking brake now set each time the car is put in Park or was this a one time glitch after the update?

on the slightest incline its setting by itself. never did that before the update. I think its intentional My Silverado has always done this. The problem is the location of the release button its not at all a convenient location.

My 2020 has always had hill hold engage on slight inclines. But my car doesn't display Park when it does that. It displays Hill Hold Active or something like that.
