Finally saw an Accelerate Yellow in person.

Won't that bra start rubbing the paint off along all those edges it is stretched against?

No, the front cover won’t rub the paint off the car.
While I really liked the shade of yellow on the C5, the accelerate yellow on the C8 looks pretty good too - nice to see a metallic look to the color.

Isn't it fun that all of us are not exactly the same regarding the color choice, how boring would that be if we were! I recently had my AY HTC at a couple of car shows and it was a total attention *****. I could not count the amount of "I Love that color" comments. As others have said, it does take on a different hue in varying light. Some of the old Corvette yellows looked like custard to me, and I think the C8 AY is the best yellow Corvette has done to date. Oh, and with the black 3LT with yellow stitching and belts is pure exotic looking IMHO!

2022 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified

I did get the body colored, but then installed real carbon fiber to match the front splitter. My main reason for ordering with body colored accents was to get the boomerangs the same as the body. I do not want the bumblebee look that a lot of AY C8's have. To me, there is already enough black on the car for contrast.

i can see your point. When I saw it last week, lighting was perfect (sunset) so the colors weren’t really washed out.

The first one I ever saw in person was mine that I picked up at Ciocca on Friday. The color is definitely no where near the Racing Yellow that's on my C7 but I knew that when I ordered it. The c8 does seem to look totally different in daylight versus night. I must have gotten 20. '' i love that color" from random strangers since Friday.

Saw the color at the museum last weekend and it’s the first yellow corvette that I really liked and if I were to get a C8 it would be that color. Looks so cool.

2020 C6 of the Year Winner - Modified
photos with filters and adjustments make these two colors look ok. In person neither are attractive. Coming from a, I will only buy an orange Corvette guy, I'll have to change to Red Mist unless GM changes the orange at some point for the new Z.

now I’m wondering if I should change my build to blue.

That's what I did! I have always liked bright colors, so yellow and orange was likely to be my top pics. But in person they looked good, but were just missing a little of the pop I wanted. TR is a great color, just so many people have it. Red Mist is also a great color, but still, only in the exact right lighting. Elkhart blue had the same problem. Rapid Blue was the only color that really stood out to me as the right tone and color under the most lighting conditions. I hate that it isn't metallic, but that was the only one that worked for me. And I love the Tension Blue interior.
