HTC: Do people talk to you at traffic lights?

Not really but I often hear voices. Does that count?

Happens at least once a month in the C8. When I had my C7, it was really comical. A guy 2 lanes away and one car back tried having a conversation with me. He was yelling and I couldn't hear ****. I was just shaking my head in amazement that someone would actually try having a conversation 2 lanes away at a red light. lol

I’ve had the car for about 2 weeks now. No one ever talks to me. I’ve driven now 360 miles and only seen 3 c8s and many other gen corvettes. No one even waves or anything. I wave but they don’t lol! I do see tons and tons of chargers and challengers though.

All the time, especially from SUV's or Pick up Trucks that look down into it.

HTC: Do people talk to you at traffic lights? I stopped at a traffic light this morning with the top down and an SUV pulled up beside me. The rear window rolled down and and a teenager asked me to rev the motor which I did. Big smile. Then the front window rolled down and a guy was asking questions about the car. Not the 1st time this has happened. How about you?
Enjoy!

Seriously? Even with my top down (on any of my convertibles or roadster) everyone else is apparently hermetically sealed within their extended. rolling smart-phones.

Happens to me all the time. My wife always comments on how this didn't happen nearly as much with my C5s or C7. And the questions are much more forward. Maybe more a sign of the times. "How much was it?" "What do you do for a living?" "How fast have you had it?" etc. I find it fun, but maybe partially because I don't think I've ever had anyone be a jerk or make rude comments. People are usually excited to see it and I think it's great that other people get joy out of it as well.

yes, quite a bit. Always have. When I first bought a convertible in 2006 it kinda surprised me. Now I'm used to it.

I have a coupe, but if my windows are down I get a red light talker at least once per week.

Safety Car
I was in a C7Z convertible at a light first in line. A Tesla driver started talking, asking me to show him something at the green. I replied - nope, I do not do that.
He said he has a new Tesla coming and it would probably take my C7Z.
I replied, "Not at Sebring".
A few weeks before I was behind a Tesla at Sebring in a C6Z. The Tesla did not belong on that track, at least the driver didn't.

Happens to me all the time - *especially* when it's another sports car driver.
