I don't like any of the stock wheels. Offsets are bad with no depth - the wheels are very flat and I don't like the designs. The 2023 forged ones are an improvement. I just went with the base ones since I'd sooner spend that money on aftermarket options.

Agreed. Even though the new black forged wheels are a bargain for forged wheels, the offsets still suck whether one likes the design or not.

I like the base wheels, they remind me of my fav oem audi wheels

Id powder coat them satin gray or gloss black, add some low and 15mm spacers, perfect

New wheels are the first thing I bought when my allocation came in. I had them about 2 months before the car was built. I am another one that just isn't a fan of any of the stock wheels. Bought mine from Wheel Designers who is a sponsor on here. I have received many compliments on them.

Love my Trident Gray wheels. But then I liked the other optional wheels GM offered for all 6 Vettes.

SIDEBAR
They are the correct offset for what GM had a hard time achieving (according to Tadge) with a 60% rear engine car so did not have scarry Oversteer like his dad's older Porsche. He said it was his "Biggest Fear" when designing the C8. It was mine as well as having had a 60% rear weight car that even avid trackers of Front Engine cars could not handle and wound up looking the opposite direction after excessive speed in a turn.

Average driver did not handle it well! Had to learn to handle excess speed like Tony Stewart (and other dirt track races) managed. But had only a split second to attempt to correct. IMO using different offsets to get the wheels flush is not a good idea!

Yep, early Porsche, Corvairs had heavy Oversteer if going excessively fast for a turn. Had to drive like Tony Stewart (and other dirt track drivers.) But only had a fraction of a second or the *** end would spin instantly! Many driver's did not have the experience or practice. In an interview Tadge said it was his biggest fear when designing the C8. In another he said it took Porsche decades to solve and they had to get it right first try. They did but would not take much to mess it up! Wheel offsets are a handling factor!

I like the wheels I ordered from the factory just fine. To each his own…

I like the new for 2023 20 spoke black forged wheels. $995.00 option is a bargain.

The new forged ones on YouTube look good, with that I opted for base wheels and went with HRE FF11S and happy I went this route.

I love my factory (optional) wheels, but I did add spacers to bring them out more and add depth.

I don't really like any of the stock wheels, but then again I like ALL of the available aftermarket wheels even less. There's just nothing being made that I find both attractive and easy to clean. Most of them are so intricate that it would take longer to clean than it does to wash the car. Because of that, I picked the Trident Gray from the factory. Here's my thinking on that

If I pay extra from the factory, I will be less tempted to replace them with aftermarket. Most especially historically stock wheels on a car are more sought after after a few years. Aftermarket wheels bring down the value of a collector car. (Decades out).
Dark wheels are easier to keep clean or looking nice, Chrome and shiny ones show brake dust, dirt etc, so I wanted dark wheels, but IMHO black ones are overdone. That look should have been done in the 1990s. The gray Tridents with the 5 chrome spokes make them, appear to be just 5 spokers from a distance, and the gray doesn't show dirt.
The TGs also have the least intricate, biggest holes for easy cleaning and hand access. Easy to clean is a top priority for ME.

Agree. I would have ordered those instead of the Carbon Flash five spoke I got on my 21 HTC if they were an option.

I'm good with the 5 spoke standard wheels. I don't see people hating on all the Ferrari 5 spoke wheels that they have done over the last 30 years. After saying that I do like the Z06 wheels but probably won't buy them since that would require new tires which are summer only.

I was going to wait and buy aftermarket, however once I received my C8 I got so many complements on the wheels (people thought they were aftermarket) I decided to save the money for fuel. The one consistent comment I get is people are glad the "dark" wheel fad may be over but that may be because here dark wheels are steel rims used for snow tires.

.Get the stock if like the design and do an exchange (or send yours in) with Wheel Craft for any of their PVD finishes. They have bright Chrome, Black Ice, Black Chrome and many others to choose from. I had my stock C7 Z51 wheels done in black chrome and I love them. It was less than $1k including shipping. You can see all of their finishes on their website. The work and customer service is top notch. Here is a shot of mine.

$600 to powder coat the OEM. I'm fine with that.
