Well... I think we are finally getting a green color MANY people have wanted. While not 100% certain, I doubt GM is making 1 car in this color. I think they do the NFT route, and draw interest and then make this a color in 2024. What do you think?

The lime green falls into the rapid blue category in my color wheel. I'd love to see a Goodwood Green (with flake) C8. I'm sure there will be lots of opinions on this one.

It says they are making only one. Oh I see, you're thinking they will only make one in 2023. I don't see them screwing over the one of one purchaser and making them en masse the following year but I could be wrong.

“Own the Color” means Chevrolet will not apply Minted Green to another production 2023 Corvette Z06. In addition to a digital certificate of ownership and authenticity for the art piece, the physical Corvette Z06 will carry the option code RFN — which will forever associate the car with this auction and it’s one-of-one status.

If only we could have bid in ETH back when it was $4K+. Glad I cashed out most of my ETH in the 3000s. (I was mining it for 16 months, not buying so came out way ahead of the game).

The color is amazing. It would be way cool if GM started doing paint to sample like Porsche.

Though this is clearly a marketing stunt. For a car that has a waitlist for years. Completely un needed.

I like green, but that color just does not do it for me. I would prefer a darker, heavier metallic green color.

I’m laughing so hard at the absurdity. A solid 90% of the average age group for corvettes probably has no clue what this even is. Dog bless GM, trying to reel in that crypto millionaire millennial with the 1 of 1 option code that proves his car was the one that coincides with the NFT purchase.

New age crypto kitties aside, really hope the whole thing is a ruse. They specify “no 2023 Z06 will be this color” but maybe something will end up as a 2024 color. Really love the look, seems similar to Lamborghini mantis verde. Would complete the exotic colors set. The primary colors plus a yellow TR, RB, AY, Green something. Maybe a purple too. Make it happen GM! More colors less shades!

I kind of like it, I would probably have gone for it, but I don't know if my wife would like it! There is a guy around here with a Supra wrapped in a similar color, it does really look good both at night and in the sun. But a wrap... well you can always change your mind.

I guess people didn't actually read the article. The money raised from this is going to charity, just like the money from the first C8, the first Z06, etc. GM isn't "raking in" anything but publicity.

As for offering this color in 2024? GM's announcement very carefully says this will be the only 2023 in this color, not the only C8 in this color.

With Porsche (911 at least) you can order virtually any color you want. You provide the dealer with the color, and the factory will let you know if they can paint the car that color. I think I remember reading it's a $12k option.

For $2-3k you can get it wrapped in any color you want. I can't even conceive of spending $12k on paint for a car that the manufacturer has to paint anyway. I am convinced it's just a way for people to brag about how much money they can spend on a car.
