Nail/screw in the driver's side front tire
I was heading out to the local Harley dealership to renew my local hog membership yesterday morning in my C8. I pulled out of my garage and got multiple messages that I had a tire with low pressure (21 psi). Along the way was our local Discount Tire shop. I pulled in and asked if they've done any work on C8s. They said they were well versed and have worked on over a dozen or so of them. In about 20 minutes they pulled my car in to accomplish diagnostics and (hopefully) accomplish a repair, not a replacement. About 45 minutes later they came out to the waiting area and told me my car was ready. I asked if they were able to repair it OK. The said there was a nail/screw in the center of the tread and they were able to plug and patch the tire successfully. They handed me the keys, a zero charge balance receipt and asked me to have a nice day. I asked if I could pay them for their work. They told me the service was free and that was a service they provided for their customers. They also asked my to remember them when I need some new tires. I told them I surely would. I've already bought new tires for my Yukon Denali from them, great service. I find it truly amazing, especially in this economic climate, that companies out there still existing like Discount Tire. Kudos to them!!

Yep, for my 2017 Grand Sport and C8 bought their "tire insurance" the week I got both cars. Did the same for my wife's 2018 and 2021 BMW X5 SUV's.
C8 cost $225 when I I bought September 2020. I have had two rear tire flats. One with nail near sidewall. that was a free tire! The other repairable via Plug Patch, which they use.
Wife's 2018 BMW insurance was only $180 (it's tire cost dependent.) Her rear tires were 315 section width run flats. She had two with nails near the sidewall. Two free tires. Two other nails were repairable. Well worth the insurance. So far none on her 2021 BMW SUV!

Thanks, OP, for sharing that.
I've had several good experiences with Discount Tire, plus the DT near me uses Hunter touchless tire mounting, and Road Force balance equipment. They are very customer service minded.

#1 reason I will always go to discount tire. What you can do to “repay” them aside from buy tires is leave them a great review. The only time I’ve ever actually paid them was for tires, any other time has been “free”tire patch, mount, etc. Dog bless discount tire!

I have been telling this forum for years that Discount Tire does free repairs on flat tires.
Corvette tires can easily pick up nails and screws so this is a great service. As a result I buy All Season Michelins to use in the winter then Discount Tire remounts the Summer Tires when the weather gets warm. (they charge to mount the tires)

Melting Slicks
I bought a used daily driver (Chrysler 300s) and it seemed that it had a weird vibration at certain speeds. Tires were basically new but crap brand. I took it to them and asked them to put the wheels on the balancer and if it turned out the tires were crap, I would buy 4 new ones on the spot. About 45 minutes later they came back and said it wasn't the tire, I had a slightly bent wheel. They gave me the name and number of a service that could fix it. They charged me nothing even though I had never been there before. I actually begged them to let me pay them and the manager would have none of it. That was about 18 months ago. Since then I have bought 3 sets of tires from them. A little customer service goes A LONG WAY.

The Very Best
25 years ago, I had a similar experience with my first visit to a Discount Tire in Tucson. They actually stayed late after hours on a Saturday to fix my tire for free. Discount Tire in our 'hood has always been a 5 Star experience for us.

Punctures happen to everyone at one time or another. You are fortunate to have such a great place to get them fixed!

Had good service from all previous Vettes and CTS-V Caddy... some one, with last tire change, screwed up the rocker panels on my Ferrari.... didn't find it until I went to change the oil - so, no proof - $3,000 mistake.... otherwise kudos to Discount Tire.

Discount Tire in Wichita Falls, Texas, has always been excellent to us in every way, for many years now.
They take excellent care of our personal vehicles, our www.eddiehillsfuncycles.com business vehicles, and I get my Hoosier race tires through them also.
They even go the extra mile for me on my race tire mounting by using baby powder for mounting lubricant. Any lube with water in it causes corrosion inside aluminum race wheels and even makes dismounting tires more difficult.
I won't consider going anywhere else.
Cheers,
Eddie
