Default C8 on the lot

Has anyone on here ever come across a new C8 at a dealer for sale anywhere near MSRP? Do available non ordered C8s exist?

The answer to the 2nd question is yes. To the first question? I doubt it.

No, not yet. We will eventually, but we’re not there yet.

I have found that my dealer was using all their allocations on retail sold orders (SRE) in the beginning, after about a year of watching folks take their MSRP cars straight to another retailer to sell for a $15k+ profit they started ordering a few retail stock cars every month and selling them with a $20k ADM. They’ve got a 3LT HTC sitting on the lot right now with that $20k ADM, nice car but I’m gonna wait for MSRP.

Local dealership has never ordered a C8 for a customer, from the start of C8 production in 2020. He got around this by having someone (family member??) be the customer and then selling them on the internet when they came in at $20-30K over MSRP. They do ~ 90 C8 per year. The Z06's will done on an action type sale..

They have 3 on the lot now (2023's) and a few more in transit.

I was quoted $138,500 plus $995 dealer fee for a 2022 3LT convertible that has a sticker of around $94,000. It's crazy out there. I've never seen anything like it and I thought by now the prices would start slipping with the stock market having the lousy year it's been.

There was one at my dealership. It was a sold order, but the kid that ordered it didn't qualify for financing - so they put it on the lot to sell - $30k over MSRP. This was about 2 months ago. I was told it sold within 2 days.

At ~90 per year they must be around #20 of the top 100 dealers. Which one is it? Is it Kevin Whitaker?

I did.....once in early 2021. I was building my C8 online and finding matches across the country. I then checked the dealer's website to see if the car was actually there. One day I came across a 2021 C8 online sitting in a dealer's showroom less than 10 minutes from my house so I went to take a look. It was there. The original deal had fallen through that morning, a guy in Kansas saw the same thing I did, and the Sales Manager told me they were waiting on the wire to clear and doing the paperwork - at MSRP. This lucky guy called about two hours before I got there. The Sales Manager told me the dealership owner - who has several dealerships around the Atlanta area - said to sell it at MSRP because he didn't want to offend his customer base.

I thought that was strange because this same dealer had tried to pass off a 2020 Denali to me as new when it had 4500 miles on it in June 2020.

Haven't seen any dealer stock C8s around here. I have seen some low mileage cars on the lot but they were at least $15K over sticker.

If you're looking to purchase right away, there's always the C8 For Sale section here. You may find one to your liking there that's close to MSRP. Not sure if the current owners will want to recoup any taxes and installed aftermarket accessories in their asking prices.
