Looks great. Enjoy your wheels!

I also like chrome wheels; your ride looks amazing.
Most of our car club members like chrome and it's a common discussion among us. Seems like brushed aluminum is as close as we can get on our new C8's,
Wonder what the demographics say the average age of new corvette owner is and the preferred type of wheel.
Again, like having a small access flip door for the trickle charger instead of out the frunk over the paint, is GM listening to its customer base?
Our small local corvette club has about 50 members probably 50 % above 60. most of the younger owners have earlier cars with chrome wheels.
Hey, I get it we can buy aftermarket..

Have noticed the same conversations about chrome in our car club. Looks like you have to be over 70 to want chrome wheels on a C8. Just saying. There are some exceptions to 70 but only a few.

Black wheels in a shadow or in low light, or even from a distance, all look the same because you can't make them out. I think black wheels became a thing when people started thinking that they could get by without cleaning their wheels longer if they were black from the beginning.

I don't care for black wheels, never have. My C7 had chrome wheels and my C8 has the painted aluminum wheels. I'm not 70 either, I got the C7 when I was 48.......

Don't consider myself an "old guy" yet (just turned 60), but I agree it's a generational thing. Back when car exteriors carried chrome on them (front/rear bumpers, window trims, etc), chrome wheels worked, IMO. Chrome wheels on a C8 really bring a "bling" factor to the look instead of a "wow" factor the car's lines naturally give off.
At the same time, I am somewhat old school, as I believe that 5-spokers are the way to go, and in a natural, nickel-alloy color (like the stock C8 wheels)
But in the end, there is absolutely nothing wrong with personalizing the C8 to one's individual tastes as the OP has done. Heck, I have the two-tone red/black interior on a red mist car, which some would say is complete heresy

Chrome
Does look nice. I'm not 70 yet but was in a chrome phase (Harley Road King). 20 years ago my racing mechanic (Winston Cup series) told me ...."Chrome won't get you home". Drag raced a C3 big block was chromed out engine bay and he didn't like working around that evidently. My C8 has the Spectra gray wheels w/Red Mist + cool gray and black inside.

OP - your car looks great with the chrome wheels. I’ve always been a fan of chrome, never really cared for black wheels except for those with a machine face to them. But, everyone has different tastes so they make finishes to satisfy those that want to personalize their rides.

I Remember When
I was in high school with my first car. A 1956 Ford Customline 2 door. 273 cu in 2 bbl 3 sp Hurst Mystery Shifter on the floor. Painted 1962 Chev Monaco Blue. At a Dillon's Store in Oaklawn KS, I bagged and hauled to cars a ton of groceries till I had enough to buy a set of chrome reverse rims. From Hall's Speed shop on E Harry St in Wichita KS. It looked mah-vuh-loss. So I get chrome. And I'm glad you do too.
