Dealers and brokers lined up at $25,000 but would rather sell it to a customer!

Sold today.

no doubt there are buyers up at +$25,000 but they’re certainly not “lined up”.

Default Dealers will regret their mark-ups !

After the market gets back to normal, and it will . The corvette family will remember the dealerships that tried to rip off buyers. In turn they will be remembered what they did, and they will have people going back to the dealer that didn’t try to screw them . It’s a known fact you go back to the dealer that took care of them . I bought three from the same dealer. I feel sorry for your reputation you will receive at your so called dealership!

Yet no one has any problems with consumers selling their almost 3 year old 2020’s at $20,000 over sticker on this very same platform🤔🤦‍♂️

Thankfully I'm not dumb enough to pay a huge markup on a used Chevy lol.

I think most on here do have a problem with it. But you are not allowed to go to people's for sale thread and post in it and say hey why are you charging $20K over for a 3 year old car. The mods will remove your post and block you.

So it's not worth the effort to say anything. If people want to part with their money so be it.

But see, here’s my problem. Someone posts a 2020 coupe that he bought 31 months ago for 20 grand over sticker in the for sale forum. He gets 10 replies, great deal, good luck with your sale, what a beautiful car. And this is not a one time occurrence, if you read the for sale section everybody’s asking 20 to 30 grand over. And most of them are getting it.

As someone who tried, I realize that you basically have to wait a year to get a Corvette, unless you’re very lucky and strike gold, which someone does every once in a great while. So this dealer gets a random unsold allocation, And he wants 10 grand over, allowing you to get your car in two months, the way you want it. And everybody jumps all over him. There are lots of local dealers around me who want 30 grand over. Including the dealer who told me, “why should I sell you a car anywhere around sticker when you can get 30 Grand over for it?” . And my answer was I don’t care what I can get if I resell it I’m buying it to drive”

I think he’s offering a great deal…

Exactly! The stealership closest to me was over MSRP. 20 minutes further away was the dealership I purchased my 22 from @ msrp. No doubt in my mind which will be getting my future service and vehicles from and which one I will not go to even if it's closer. People remember things like this, not sure it will make a whole lot of difference but if enough potential buyers\customers do the same and I'm sure it could.
