Default Where to bring my Vette in Boone, NC

I will be receiving my new corvette in Boone, North Carolina. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this area and where the best place to get service and work done? I plan on replacing the brake pads, after market rims, chin spoiler and side skirts, and possible other mods. The local dealership here Team Chevrolet of Boone doesn't have a Corvette mechanic, so I'm a little concerned on bring them my Vette.

It's a couple hours away as there is not much around Boone, but I've been going to Boyd Chev in Hendersonville, NC for years. 5 star rating from me.

I have used Everett in Morganton and Hickory. Hickory is ok and is a typical GM dealership. Morganton is rather iffy.

Thank for the info guys, What about McNeill Chevrolet Buick in Wilkesboro? I called there and asked if they have a certified Corvette mechanic, they said yes. That's only 45 minutes from me.

Check out Johnson City TN or Kingsport, TN. Not that far from Boon.

Good to know about Boyd Chevrolet.
I used Sunshine Chev in Asheville once to get an alignment after I hit a big pothole; they did the alignment for $280, and when afterwards I complained that the car still shook, they said "Oh, yeah, that's because three of your inner rims are bent." They did the unnecessary alignment & didn't even tell me straight up about the wheels. What a ripoff!

Thank for all your suggestions, everything seems to be 2hrs plus from where my home is. I might give the Wilkesboro Chevy Dealer a try since that is only 45min. I appreciate all the help.

Not sure about in Boone, I'm new to the area. But before we bought a house up here we stayed in a few places in the center of town of Blowing Rock right next door. The hotels and such in Blowing Rock seem to have roads just fine for a Corvette. There are a lot of rentals up here but make sure that the driveway or home is accessible with a low car.

This thread is a year old so thought I would check in and see if your opinion about Boyd Chevrolet was still 5 stars as it relates to servicing a C8? In the Asheville area and about time for a trustworthy Tech. Any opinions are welcomed.

If you want to go to G'boro, Bill Black used to service mine when I lived up there. LaBonte in G'boro and Modern and Flow in Winston have good reps or did when I lived in the area, but I used Bill Black.

I appreciate the information and may check into those places if nothing pops up closer. I'm hopeful that someone close by will report a positive local experience but I'm not holding my breath. Thanks again for the help.

Boyd is still good. Cameron or Stephen for service and Tyler is one to request for service on your car.
