If you don't like the C8 rear, be careful what you ask for...

Got to give it to him - he's got ***** for chopping up a new C8.
I haven't liked Corvette rear ends for generations - I think it's the weak point. The C5 rear was OK, I never liked the C6 rear even though I owned and loved a 2007 Z51 (although the wide bodies helped). I though my 2019 GS was a beautiful car overall, but I never liked the straight on view of the rear end (from an angle on the road it looks pretty good through) and now it's the same with the C8.
The C8 rear end is much better in person. In photographs it loses the 3-D aspects and curves and comes across looking flat and square.

Burning Brakes
I have no issue with the rear of my C8. but that picture reminds me of the exact same thing GM did....didn't the '62 have the front end of a C1 and the rear end of a C2?

My bad was just looking at the photo- Noted the car he's working on is missing its front clip. Also there's a c5? to c1 conversion that looks abandoned in mid project by the fence and any number of other corvette carcasses in that yard.

The man has a great deal of tenacity, and obviously lots of ideas. I wish him the best and hope he ends up with his vision. I admire him for putting it all out there on the interwebs - he's actually "doing", not just "talking" so he's well ahead of many of us. Credit given where credit is due (love it or hate it).

If you don't like the rear fascia don't buy the car, but for goodness sakes don't destroy a C8.

It is really hard to imagine just how this will turn out, but willing to reserve judgement until the final product is displayed. Bold move to take a car that is selling for a premium right now and morph it into something no one else has done.

2020 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
I'm squarely in the camp of not liking the Corvette rears from C4-C6. Tiny flashlights on a billboard.
The C7 rear is what got me to buy my first Corvette.
The C8 rear is the best angle on this car (3/4 rear view).
I am aware I'm in the minority (among Corvette cultists).
