Default New RPO Wheel Options

Here are the other variants of the wheels that were seen on the 2023 70th Anniversary C8 Stingray.

Left
Q9I
- 20-spoke Gloss Black forged aluminum (19" x 8.5" front and 20" x 11" rear)

Right
Q99
- 20-spoke bright machined-face forged aluminum (19" x 8.5" front and 20" x 11" rear)

I think it is a smart move and a simple refresh to the current offering. I prefer the Q99 over the Q8T. I would like it more it it also was finished in a dark gray finish.

What are your opinions with the newest manufacturer wheel offerings?

I like the Q99 more than the base wheel….. I think I’d like them (Q99) a bit more if they were available in the base wheel color (what’s it called cast? Silver?) …… I think I’d LOVE them if they were available in CHROME

I agree. I thought it was a bit odd that they were not putting out any type of all silver wheel.

Q99 looks great, and if they're forged, that's even nicer. I'd guess a $3k option like the previous black tridents.

The black Tridents were a dealer installed accessory where you actually got an additional set of wheels along with the silver base wheels. The Q99 is not showing up as an LPO on the new 2023 order guide. Hope they are more like $1495.
Q99
NEW! Wheels, 19" x 8.5" (48.3 cm x 21.6 cm) front and 20" x 11" (50.8 cm x 27.9 cm) rear 20-spoke bright machined-face forged aluminum

Fair enough, so maybe $1995. I would expect that forged wheels will cost more than the cast wheel options. I'm just glad the red rim stripe is limited to the anniversary edition wheel set only (Q9A?).

I had not heard if any of the wheels are trim/package restricted. Only reasoning I see is GM doesn't want excess, un-saleabe items. Only contract for as many as you need. GM knows how many 70th Anniversary editions will be produced

Only the new red striped forged wheels are restricted to the 70th Anniversary model. The other two new forged wheels are open for ordering.

Is there a better picture of the Q99 wheel? Where did you see that one?

Order guide just says that the Q9A wheel is included with the 70th Anniversary package not exclusive to the package.

Q99 is infinitely better than the current versions although all silver would be awesome.

I wasn’t clear, I meant the red stripe on the rim of the wheel being limited to the Q9A model, and not being on the Q99 wheel.

They will produce as many as the customers want. GM can only guess at that number. It is not a number restricted option package. It is restricted to 3LT coupes and HTCs and presumably C8Z coupes/HTCs.

Of course, I'd like to see polished ceramic or chrome versions of wheels. This painted look is cheap. Give me a polished ceramic or chrome wheel option on the C8 and more than one.
