Default I'm tired of waiting

How many times can you read the owner's manual before you're completely bored? I'm getting there!

I'm tired of turning pages. I want to turn dials, push buttons and tromp on accelerators!

Thats exactly what I did, I don't think I talked to my sales guy more than 3 times in the year I waited.

I wish I had enough things to do that were more exciting than getting a corvette. Not much that fits that bill during vid for the 54 weeks I waited.

I waiting 14 months to get mine. Granted it was though the UAW strike and pandemic shutdown. Ordered in early July 2019, took delivery August 28, 2020. Now I ordered a 2022 F150 Platinum in December and still waiting who knows how long for that.

Since last Friday, mine's been standing next to the tracks at the plant, with it's thumb out, trying to jump a train ride to Chicago!

Understand your pain. I waited 14 months for my 2022 HTC and will tell you that in the end it was 100% worth every day I waited, amazing car and I would do it again.
I just tried not to dwell on what I could not control and enjoy every day. Worked for me
Good luck be safe

I waited 20 months for mine. It was like twisting a knife when people who already got their's would say: 'It's Worth The Wait'. I won't say that to you.... (but they were right ).

I ordered last week July 2019 and car arrived September 2nd 2020. But bought a lot of "stuff" before the car arrived. Just checked my spreadsheet and 1st came in February 2020!
  • 4 GM Splash Guards
  • Right angle Power Plug (thought I would need for Radar Detector) Tapped mirror instead.
  • Titan 22 mm Lug Socket
  • 3 Lug Guides
  • 1/2" Socket Extensions, 1 1/2" & 3"
  • 5VM Style Splitter & Side Skirts from C7 Carbon
  • 10 pt 10mm Brake socket
  • GM Weather Mats 84534619
  • Torx Plus 40
  • Jake Mats Frunk, Trunk
  • Carbotech 1521 low dust pads
  • McGard 24215 Wheel Locks
  • C8 Jake Decal 2" Silver
  • SD Card 128 GB 100MB/s
  • C8 Red Water Tumbler
  • Deer Whistle
  • FOB Cover
  • Jake Valve Stem caps
  • Billet Al Black Plate Cover

Was something to look forward to as they arrived!

JerryU - The waiting is killing me. I spend way too much time on this forum and the FB groups looking at everyone else excitedly receiving their cars.

Your idea to spend some time studying and ordering parts is probably a great idea. I will start with the 1521 Carbotech pads.

With inflation at 8%, and cash sitting in the bank, it's probably not a bad idea to order the parts now (at today's price) and let them sit in the garage til the car arrives. Another advantage to this approach is - the wife doesn't even notice a couple hundred here and there.

Might work for some but actually in my case it helped with the wait learned a lot about the car before delivery.as well as getting some good feedback to help with options. Did stay away from the negative stuff. Great buying experience with MacMulkin if I had any questions or wanted to track the progress on their website.

Good idea! Here is some how to install info for the brakes, while you wait! http://netwelding.com/Ceramic_Pads.pdf

I feel like one of the lucky ones. I waited 8mos 11days. Not the best but not the worst. The last 3 days was waiting for a plate from the DMV. I did not get on the forum until a couple months prior to my TPW. I did not have the cajones like @JerryU . I did not want to research anything until the car showed. I certainly did not want to see or walk by a pile of accessories. That would have made it worse. The best advise I saw was the best things in life take time. I have not stopped smiling every time I clean, drive or just go into the garage to look at the C8.

I understand your frustration, I am in Ontario, Canada . Ordered mine a year ago had a TPW of 1/31/22 . Its shipped and I still don’t have it , the delivery date gets changed every week and the dealer has no idea when it’s coming.
