After having it in my C7, it’s the one feature I cannot do without. Thanks for the ride offer!🍻 I’m sure I’ll see you around at some of the Chicago Corvette events.
Yup had it on my 2020, Ditched it on my 2022 just not needed with the Z51 being as compliant as it is.

So should people with accepted orders that don’t include mag ride expect their TPWs to be moved up?

Anyone who already has a TPW right now would mot be impacted by the Mag Ride constraint.

Had mag ride on my C7 and it is great. New C8 is a base 1lt and that will be fine. Never tracking the car. It is my DD.

For 2023:
Mag ride is currently on constraint. From what I've seen, you can't order it on any 2023 C8.

Here’s the thing I built my car with my salesman and gave my 5k DP last week it is to be the last of the 22s and he says it should be at 3000 early next week at which time I can’t change my build yet he can’t tell me if my car will get the Mag ride or not leaving me without the opportunity to change the build if it’s not available this just doesn’t seem right to me. He just kept asking if I wanted to change the order now while I said only if I can’t get the Mag ride. does anyone know if the actual hard components are on constraint or a chip or module that would be installed later I’m disappointed that my salesman doesn’t seem to want to help me with this and don’t know where to turn .

Default C8 z51/mrc

Really need a opinion, allocation for 2022 C8 has come up and should place order next week, just found out that do to chip shortage the MRC is on constraint., could move to a 2023 C8 but no guarantee of availability even then.
Opted for the Z51 pkg. and wanted MRC as well but now no MRC. What to do. Wait for 2023 and hope? Keep 2022 with Z51 but no MRC? or Opt out of Z51 pkg since no MRC? TIA

Are you actually going to track it? If so then Z51 and MRC make sense. If not, its just a luxury. The base car if phenomenal. I ordered with MRC, but lack of it would not have stopped me from ordering the car.

I had a MY21 Z51 without MRC and just ordered a MY22 Z51 with MRC. Now with with said I was happy with the ride of the none MRC.
I would agree with others, if you have never had MRC you wont miss it. The Z51 rode just a nice as my Infinity Q50 sport.

Almost impossible to make an objective decision on this. The car mags road test only Z51s usually with MRC, and the endless threads on MRC or No-MRC (like Z51 and non-Z51) usually run 50-50 people with it love it and those without it say who needs it. Every once in a while you will find a post or youtube by someone with access to two C8s one with and one without the option and give their opinion for or against (or some will say they can't tell the difference). Long gone are the days with dealers with dozens of test drivable models on the lot with and without options that you can test yourself to make the decision.

Only negatives I can think of to not getting both Z51 and MRC are 1) Cost and 2) Added complexity and the associated higher post warranty maintenance costs 3) With Z51 having to buy AS tires if needed for winter and brake dust.

A lot of folks asking themselves this same question right about now…. Everyone has an opinion as to the value of MRC, and truthfully I would probably be ok without it but I do use it and really like the functionality. I would rather give up Z51 than the MRC because with MRC you still have the option to tighten up the suspension when you want to play. So, to answer your question, after waiting this long to get the car built exactly to your specifications I would defer and wait for the constraint to be lifted. I would imagine that GM is working this issue pretty hard.

Just my opinion…

You never miss what you don't have. If you are not tracking the car, I wouldn't waste money on the Z51 package either. Brake dust is a real pain in the butt. I have a non Z51 with MRC and it's in tour suspension 90+% of the time on my mode. It handles great and rides great. Track mode suspension will beat you to death on bumpy roads and is not recommended for the street. If I had it to do all over, I wouldn't have wasted money on the MRC for what little I use it.

The whole MSRC system will be left off if you don't get it. They'd have to install standard shocks. MSRC shocks would be dead soft (like they weren't there) without the controller.
If GM accepted the order with MSRC (above 1100 status) then you would likely get MSRC. If your order is still at 1100 then you won't get MSRC and it will need to be removed from your order to proceed. What status number is your order?

Default C8 z51/mrc

Thanks to all for your helpful comments I was up against the wall on making a decision and have decided to go ahead with my 2022 order without MRC. Probably sounds silly but this has been
one of the biggest decisions I've had to make. Not much of a gambler so 2022 seemed a surer bet than hoping for what might be avail for the 2023 model. All the best!

Just talked to Criswell dealer this morning and was told MRC was on constraint for March. He could move me to April but that would mean 2023 model, unknown price increase and no guarantee MRC would be available then. I took the sure bet but admit I am disappointed but did not want to roll the dice. All the best

Wow, that's interesting. You may be only one I know who has said that, especially the ones who do track days. I'm curious, why did you buy the the same car twice in two years?
