Is the C8 your dream car? Or is it just simply a car you bought to hold you over until either something better comes out on the Corvette platform, or you get more money for an exotic or other performance vehicle?
The Corvette has always been a tremendous bang for the buck, and I have driven these cars for over 30 years. Very little, if anything, can touch the Corvette for the money. Just wondering what motivated you to buy a C8 versus something else?

2020 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
We don't really own cars. We are just custodians who pass them over to the future.

After a series of vets mostly modified C3, C4 ZR1, C5, C6Z, C7Z, and now a C8 mid engine, I’m done.
I’ll drive this one until my mid 80s. Which is only a few years away.
at that age my wife will decide who gets this one.

Stop gap. I've dreamed of a 911 since I was a teen. The C8 is merely filling a spot on the journey to attaining that.

Went thru several decades of C1, C2, C3 and C4 before switching to mainly Porsche, but a couple of NSXs. Had two numbers at different dealers for a C8, however the strike and subsequent pandemic scared me off. Too bad as I really liked the car and had waited for them to put the engine in the right spot for years. Bought a 720S Spider that I absolutely love.

I think the Z06 C8 is my end game, hopefully. Been looking for something for 16 years that was as fun to drive as my 1st gen NSX. Porsche didn't do it for me (though GT3 might have, I just don't want to pay that much). I'm hoping the Z06 will be it. In the meantime, just got my Stingray allocation a couple weeks back, so it's a stopgap until a Z06 which I'm probably 2 years away from. Now, if I suddenly won powerball, a Koenigsegg or Pagani would be nice to have

First Gen NSX were fun, for sure. Like a go kart, and with just enough power - or se we all thought back then...
I love the sounds from Porsches, but the GT3 is crazy money. Corvette remains one heck of a bang for the buck

yea me too……but not sure. New friend who’s into corvettes and Porsche says there is no comparison…Porsche is a pure sports car.

Blackwing or the CTS-V would be good choices, either of them.

C8 would have been a stopgap on my way to an AMG GT. Ordered the C8 and only made it 5 weeks before I cancelled and went right for the AMG. Been about a year and a half now and when I see all the C8s that show up at our CCs. I am happy not waiting and love every day of the AMG.
Nothing wrong with the C8 just too many in my area.

I always thought a Ferrari was my dream car. Had a chance to drive a 2002 Modena 360 ((15 years ago). I’ve always dreamed of buying a Ferrari.
Though I could buy a Ferrari now, it would stretch my budget and honestly the C8 fulfills the desire and I have money to do other things.

I know what you mean. However, there were THREE of the AMG GT cars at Cars and coffee the other week, and I see one in my neighborhood every day. Then again, there are a couple of C8s, so you're right about the Corvette outnumbering... I usually see 2 or 4 C8s every day when I leave the house, depending on the route I go. Regular Mercedes, the cheap AMG sedans and 2 doors, those are a dime/doz. around here. Like the Ford Taurus of 10 years ago.

Aside from the nostalgia of a 308, all the early 8 cylinder Ferraris were slow and not great cars. Some were borderline on terrible, like a Mondial, 348, and the 355. I cannot imagine the 360 being that much better of an experience, am I wrong?
I had thought about buying a Ferrari, but it would have to have 12 Cylinders, and those are priced more than I'd want to spend on a car Corvette gives me bang for the buck
