Default Does front window tint affect the HUD brightness or clarity?

Anyone with a front windshield tint care to talk about it impacting the HUD's clarity? When I wear polarized sunglasses it reduces the brightness, will this make the HUD almost impossible to see?

Looking for any feedback, thanks!

Also - HTC owners - did you tint the back window? I was thinking about it because car headlights hit my rear view mirror (even when using the camera) it blinds me at night.

Also Also -- does anyone tint their side mirrors?

I did this on my last vehicle and found out the hard way that they can’t repair rock chips properly heating it from the inside.

Yup! If someone wants the ultimate in stealthy, the Air90 is as clear as clear get and will never be noticed by law enforcement or inspection techs. Air80 has a slight blue tint to it if someone really looks hard enough.

If you adjust your rearview mirror so that you CANNOT see behind the car without the camera (plain mirror only), then the lights behind you will never bother you when the mirror is on camera.

On my C7 GS I have the Xpel inside windshield "tint" that is the lightest they offer. The HUD and the PDR are unaffected but the headlights do turn on noticeably earlier and more often than without it. I'll definitely take the heat reduction gains over the light sensor issue, but it is something no one else has mentioned that you will experience with any tint.

Not a huge change, but does minimize it slightly. As mentioned above, tint the partition window as well. The less light in the cabin the fewer reflections you'll see.

I do it for heat rejection & UV protection which is why I use the clear ceramic films.
