Got my latest Car and Driver magazine and flipped through their Lightning Lap times at Virginia International Raceway watching the times drop as the prices went up (typical).

Disappointed to not see the C8 lap time as the car was MIA for some reason. Now I wonder how fast it would’ve gone around the track.

2:49.0, they ran a 2020 Z51 model a couple years ago. They aren't going to run it again until there's significant changes.

2:49.0 is a great time it would’ve put it just below the Cadillac black wing and behind a Porsche Panamera and Porsche GT 3 and the leader this year the Mercedes AMG GT.

it’ll be super interesting to see what time the Z06 can get around that track

What is really incredible is the Cayenne doing 2:52:6, an SUV beating several BMW Ms, a Blackwing, and many other 'performance' cars. (Of course not as fast as the C8).

Oh yea, and the Panamera Turbo S is incredible too.

It'll be interesting to see if the c8 z06 can top the c7 zr1 like the c7z06 was able to top the c6 zr1. Probably not quite, but it'll be close.
