Default Well, she's finally home from Museum Delivery!

Well, today I checked another bucket list item off the ol' list. My wife and other daughter didn't get to go and we missed them bunches, but they had something else going on and had fun with that.

So, Bristol (my daughter) and I went to Bowling Green, Kentucky to take museum delivery of our new C8 Corvette at the Corvette Museum.

It was an awesome experience yesterday and today. I always said if I ever purchased a new one I would definitely do museum delivery, and it did not disappoint. Everybody there was exceptionally nice and very knowledgeable and made it a very memorable 2 days. They treated Bristol like she was the buyer and never once excluded her from anything. We were on Camera 8 if any odd was watching delivery cameras today.

After a 3.5 hour drive home this car is absolutely awesome in every way. Hands down my favorite as this is #6 (2001, 2002, 2008, 2013, and a 2015 all regular Corvettes). The rear view camera is amazing as it greatly helps with blind spot next to car since it has such a wide angle view. Rides and drives so good. And gets tonssssssss of looks, thumbs up, etc....

Here she is......

Ps.......if you have not seen Accelerate Yellow in person, don't knock it until you do. This color is absolutely gorgeous in person.

My daughter!

I will be doing museum delivery in a month or so. Sure wish they'd start up the factory tours again.

Awesome! And agreed - AYM really does look significantly better in person than in pictures. And with the black convertible top? *chef's kiss* beautiful.

Me too! But you do get a free plant tour whenever it starts back up since you aren't getting it currently with museum delivery. My rep told me just to call and they will set it up for you for free whenever they start it back but no eta when that will be.

Funny story....so yellow is the only color I had not seen in person since they were released. I was dead set on this being my color and didn't care what anybody thought. Then I got to hoping I wouldn't see one until I actually saw mine for the first time. This past Friday before my delivery I go to a local dealership and there sat I yellow c8.r in their service dept waiting for pdi. And I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOO, I made it this long 3 days before delivery I see one. Of course I had to go look at it and I told a buddy that it exceededy expectations. Then I saw another yellow C8.r Sunday at the museum. Crazy how things play out sometimes. But I wouldn't change this color for anything!!!

Great pics! My 14 year old daughter was my companion when I picked up my new car from a regular dealer but it was a great experience we had together.

Yes it was. My little girl had a blast and that made it worth every penny for the cost of museum delivery!

Now....she has an incredible 'Dad Memory' that she'll have forever.

No amount of money can buy that!

Congrats.

Congratulations! I was watching your delivery throughout the day and was curious why it was just the two of you. My partner and I took delivery last July and we had her 9 year old granddaughter along with us. We also did the family delivery and little Quincy was the star of the day on Corvette Blvd. Such a great experience for the kids.

They definitely know how to make a kid feel special! My oldest daughter is big into cosplay (Google it) and has a TikTok channel with over 30,000 followers 😮. There was a big cos play convention in Birmingham, AL this weekend so my wife took her to that while I took our youngest daughter to pick up our new Corvette! It's was a win win, everybody had a great time.
