How much over MSRP ?
#2
All dealers in my area charge above MSRP. From $7,500, to 12,500, to 20,000, to $45,000. They claim time to delivery anywhere from four months to 14 months.
No idea if anyone is actually pay those prices. I decided to find a dealer that sells at MSRP and placed my order there. (Found several reputable dealers outside my area thanks to this forum).
I was already not too crazy about my local dealers as I have bad experiences with most of them. My last vehicle I purchased in another state and the experience was night and day from my local dealers. I'll never buy locally again. One of my kids and two different friends are also looking for new cars at this time (not a Corvette).I have referred them all to dealers out of my area.

It totally depends on if you want it now or are willing to wait a year plus to get it. If you are willing to wait, and maybe travel a bit to pick it up there are quite a few dealers that sell at MSRP, or at least MSRP plus a "reasonable dealer fee" in the $500 or so range. If you want it now it can easily be $5k-$25+k. Your money your choice.

Zero over, its not a problem for me to wait a while. In a few years these cars will be all over the place.
If you're ok to pay 25-30% markup just to be the cool kid on your block for a year until they become common place, I wonder why not just go up a notch and get you a more exotic car that just won't ever be common place at all?

20k over. I had a 21 Z51 HTC. Someone ran into me and totaled it. Yeah, I'll pay extra to order one and have it built in 2 months. I don't do very well without a Vette....😁

Zero. I refuse to pay over sticker out of principle.

Thats a good deal, if you got to have one now. I just sold one to a dealer friend……car is brand new also. He goes to that auction site mehime? Not sure the spelling. Says brand new are bringing 17k over sticker. He’s adding 10k and will take 5k profit. Based on some projections he uses C8 prices are expected to soften the next 60 days then rise slightly. Idk I was on I 75 heading to Atlanta last week saw 2 transports heading south. I’ve also been to a number of local dealers, looking for the next car…..and every dealer had at least one used c8 for sale. When dealers in one horse towns have 1 or 2 used c8s …..the dam is about to burst.
Then you consider the fragile economy……..times are about to change.
Regarding paying over sticker…..not me but I work in a super rich community. It’s mind boggling the money these folks have. 20 30 40 k it’s nothing to them

Another zero over here. I refuse to subsidize price gouging in any form, but I'm willing to wait. If you cannot wait about a year for a custom order, then pay whatever the market price for instant gratification is.

Too Much Fun
Purchased for MSRP from Landers McLarty in Huntsville, AL. Got on their list in May 2021, order went in July 2021, GM accepted August 2021, built 1/28/22, and did museum delivery today (2/14/22)!
Pay $0 over and wait or you can pay over and not wait. That is pretty much what it comes down to.

I paid ZERO over MSRP for my ‘22 HTC. I actually had a deposit with a 2nd dealer at MSRP who emailed me today to tell me my order was accepted by GM and went to 2000…even though I had cancelled the order. Weird. I had him cancel it.
