C7Z to C8, any regrets?
I currently have C7Z (as the thread suggests). My C8 should be here in the next 60 days and although I've made the decision to move to the C8 I'm just wondering for those who did or are doing the same thing, Any regrets? Anything you want to share for comparisons?
Thanks for the feedback in advance.

If given the choice, I would keep my C8 Z51 HTC Stingray, over my C7Z M7 Vert. Do I miss my C7Z...of course! But I am not in a position where I can justify the expense to have both. The C8 is just "more" in so many areas across the board, I have no regrets about the trade up. I am still in the honeymoon phase, after taking delivery in late October but I sincerely LOVE my C8. I love the HTC, the interior, the handling, the acceleration. Sure, the C7Z was more primal, and I loved rowing the gears manually, but I'm VERY happy with the C8. It drives great and is just stunning. Sincerely.

Have you driven a C8 yet? I did several times and it convinced me I would definitely miss my 2019 M7 Z06. Two completely different driving experiences so it boils down to what you prefer. I like the rawness, power, M7, and just the beastly street manners of the Z.

I have driven the C8, and off the line to about 100mph id say they are similar, but from a roll I see the Z as the beast that it is. That being said, I have never tracked the Z but have had my share of aggressive driving and fun with it. Just hope the C8 will give me that same fun factor or if it will wear off and I will miss the Z's power. If only I could convince the wife to keep the Z and the C8 lol.

You and I are on the same boat. The only time I got to track the a Z06 was at Spring Mountain. It is an unbelievable car. Friends have mentioned that c8 handles better and not as scary on the street. Having said that my main goal is to get the C8 z06, and I am hoping that the c8 will hold me over for the next two years and be able to trade it at a higher value than my 2018 z06 will be at that time.
I’m sure I’m going to miss it, but there will things that I am sure will love on the c8.
this beast is a great car 😎

You both have something to look forward to…And here’s my C8 HTC. Love it! (But I’m also #585 with a top 3 dealer, so might see a Z06 by 2025?)

Went from a C7 Z06 to C8, not a second of regret. Order of magnitude better.

I went from an 800hp modified C7 Grandsport to a C8 Z51 HTC. Only one regret...I didn't do it even sooner. An 800hp car is fun to drive, but you can never put the power down and its always abit dicey to crack open the throttle. The C8 is better in everyway IMO. I even (gulp) prefer the DCT to my 7 speed....I know Blasphemy, but it is really that good.

the Z06 can bite you in any gear and respect must be given at all times, which is why my daughter always feared driving the beast.
hopefully she will feel more comfortable driving it. I love sharing these toys with her 😎
i had her and the wife pick the interior color 😇

I never had a C7Z, I purposely skipped the 7th generation but I do have a C6ZR1 and a C8. I love my new Corvette but I would regret getting rid of my ZR1. Two completely different cars that I cannot compare. I'm very happy I still have a car to row through the gears. The C8 is quick but once the Z gets going its like a missle once you get past 100. It would be a very difficult decision if I had to get rid of 1 of them. In a far fetched way sort of like deciding which kid I would get rid of - can't do it lol

I kept my C6 ZR1. I sold my C6 ZO6, and C7 auto, At the Ron Fellows school I was fortunate enough to attend the ZR1 school, and just finished the C8 school. I had more confidence in the C8. I'll always keep the ZR. The best of both worlds. The C8 is quieter, and rides better. As mentioned earllier its hard to get the ZR"s power to the ground.

I have a C7 Z06 2LZ and a C8 3LT/Z51 etc. I would not get rid of my C7 Z06 in lieu of the C8. As previously mentioned, completely different driving experience and comfort level. II would miss that crazy torque of the Z06 once rolling and the feel of a much more rugged vehicle. Z06 does have a tendency to oversteer easily if not respected around turns, especially in colder weather.

I think both cars are beautiful and you really can't go wrong with either.
I made the choice to go with the C7 Z06 convertible because it's everything I ever wanted in a dream car and it's a Z06.
The sound, performance and looks of the car are amazing. I wanted the open air feel and the waterf\all look, aero, ect. as well so it's aesthetically pleasing to me. I also like a raw car that challenges me and from what I"ve read the C8 is so refined that it has lost much of that feel. I still need to drive one to see what all of the hype is about. The C8 Z06 will be the game changer as most C8 owners are already looking to trade up.. Here is my dream car.
