I'm one of those that own the now elusive GM splash guards. They are so subtle and small you really don't notice them at all on the car aesthetics wise and you would notice them on my car more than any other since the car is white and the guards are black.

I have aftermarket ones but they are pretty much the same size as the GM ones. The GM guards are all but impossible to find in stock. These are the ones I bought for the 22 HTC.
For $109 for 4 these are a best buy .BILLFARO 4Pcs Front & Rear Splash Rock Guards Mud Flaps Molded XL Extended Painted Carbon Flash Metallic Wheel Splash Guards Mudflap Fender Replacement for Corvette C8 All Models 2020-2022

As to aesthetics, they are nearly unnoticeable. As to effectiveness... That's hard to judge if not having driven or seen a car without them. That said, a friend of mine also has a C8, but the guards were on constraint when he got his car. It does rain in Washington State, and I looked at his car after driving in the wet and there was assuredly splash marking behind the wheels while there have never been any such marks on mine that has the "stock" GM ones.

I have the elusive OEM splash guards and yes, they are hardly noticeable on the car. Last week I had no choice but to drive thru a pile of mud that lay across the road. When I got home, I expected to see quite a mess on the car. There was virtually no mud on the car. I was really surprised and most satisfied by their performance.

I am about to order some XL ones as I have acquired wheels with a more aggressive offset. Anyone have any insight into the difference between the RPI designs and the Extreme Online versions? I won't go with the ebay versions (I wish I could) as they only seem to offer them at discount in carbon appearance and I am looking for the carbon flash metallic versions. Ebay has them, but they are $310 so no real savings there.

I have the OEM on my MY22 HTC and are happy with them in both appearance and function. My car is black so they are not noticeable at all.
