PPF from Factory

Any PPF that was on a C7 was probably installed by the dealer. The factory does not put PPF on new cars on the production line. There is no PPF from the factory on the C8 but you can arrange to have it installed by a vendor the NCM works with if you are doing museum delivery. Some dealers have PPF prior to delivery as an option too.

My 2014 I ordered from Criswell and had courtesy delivered, had the PPF on it when I pulled the white paper off the car, before the dealer did any prep.

Really? Odd and news to me. That said, I have not seen a single forum poster say theirs came with it. Maybe on the Z06 that could be a thing?

Correct. The C8 does not come with and PPF from the factory.

My 2016 ZO6 had PPF installed from the factory behind the rear wheels and along the leading edge of the rear cooling vents.
Did it’s job.

Admitted I was wrong but also glad they stopped that for the C8. I had suntek react put on mine. No way would I want the cheap crap put on at the plant just to have to take it off to do it right.

Always wondered why car manufactures have never offered PPF (at least partial) as an option, you would think they could make money on it especially given the elevated prices they charge for most options.

My C7 (2014) came with a small patch of PPF in front of the rear wheels. Had my Xpel installer take it off when installing the much higher quality film on the car.
