Well, that’s a wrap on my brief 2021 driving season
After the snow began to fly this past Friday, I decided to call it a season and clean her up and put her away for the year. Maybe there will be a surprise warm stretch in December or January but it’s usually mid March before I cave.
I took delivery from Rick Conti on Oct 22nd, and I’m grateful to have put almost 1,000 miles on her before the weather turned. I was literally going for 40 - 60 min drives every evening I could and loved every minute.
She’s all cleaned up and I have a car cover coming from Santa and Spring ‘22 to look forward to…with the high wing spoiler and windshield further forward I had a few scary moments where I thought it might not fit but she cleared…barely.
What an amazing car. No long winded review other than I LOVE everything about this car and the options I chose, right down to the last minute High Wing add. I think my unexpected favorite feature is the power window behind the driver and passenger seats. So cool and functional top up or top down.

Aw so no impromptu twin kicks-ish donuts and donuts meetup this winter? 😔 C’est la vie du fromage. Glad you got to enjoy it before putting it up though. May I ask what 4 post lift you use and what your garage ceiling clearance is?

Ha ha, yes part of my afternoon tinkering around in the garage was a final cleaning on the clubs. Amazingly, I played last Sunday and it was gorgeous...yesterday it was snowing.
TY! Very nice! Nothing beats a Wrangler / Corvette Combo... my daughter also has a JK Sport. Gotta love them.

I feel your pain. We got 6 inches of snow last night and the salt trucks were out. I live an hour southwest of Buffalo NY in the snow belt. We get well over double the snow as Buffalo so it looks like I will be putting my C8 away till April.
I agree with everything you said about your C8. It’s an amazing car and I love every minute of driving it. I have 2200 miles on it and I picked it up September 26th.
I’m waiting for my new turbo charged snowmobile to come in so hopefully it will keep me busy till Spring. I know I will be looking forward to getting my fantastic C8 out of storage next Spring.

Boy that's a tight fit but it works. Put mine to bed last Monday after seeing the cold on its way. Did some really nice road trips up here all summer.

Tight fit ........
Wow .... That is a tight fit .
Just curious ..... I would be worried that the top might
suddenly try to pop open while its on the lift (some electronic glitch possibly) .
Do you have the power disconnected on your corvette ?
P.S. ...... Beautiful garage !!!!!!

I am hoping for a 2 hour round trip drive this coming Saturday. Then it's hibernation time for me as well.

I live in the northeast. My plan is to sell my current car when my C8 comes so I’m forced to drive it daily and enjoy it. Life is short and I’m not going to baby it. So yes I’ll be food shopping with snow on the ground in my C8. The roads here are well kept, usually even after we get 1-2 feet of snow, the roads are great within 6-12 hours. Previously I’ve had a sports car and a 2nd car, and I’ve only used the 2nd car 4-5 times a year. We are going solo!

Big L, I have several takeaways from your post:
1. I am happy for you. I have enjoyed reading your posts and occasionally jousting with you throughout your journey you shared on CF.
2. I have serious garage- and lift-envy.
3. Your car is beautiful. Drive it in good health!

Thanks Walter! I'm going to guess about 11'. The height of the interior of the garage is about 11 1/2' to the ceiling. Conveniently the I-Beam is over the hood...barely. I was worried the high wing spoiler clearence was going to force the car further forward and into the path of the I-beam as I raised it. No contact would ever happen, just would have meant I couldn't have THIS Suv under it during the winter. Thankfully it worked out.
