Default What dealer can get you a C8 the fastest?

Just wondering peoples experiences on what dealer to go with for a C8 to get it the fastest. I called MacMulkin a month ago or so and they said 12 - 18months, Kendrick in Duluth Georgia said 9 - 10 months.

Hendrick* in Duluth, Georgia has a markup for anyone putting a deposit down now.

You get straight answers from some dealers, and overly optimistic ones from others.

I've read others on here say they succeeded by finding a small dealer that happened to have an allocation. I guess you just have to keep calling until you find one.

There are always a few lottery winners. There have been a few reported on this forum, but it's a very small number. For every one reported here, there are 100s who have spent countless hours calling around to no avail.

Correct, about $8500. Most likely Jim Ellis Chevy in Chamblee (Atlanta) can get you a C8 as fast as the big three, give them a call.

@dfarese Sending you a PM now.

Last week MM told me it was 12 months + -. No matter how you slice it, it’s a wait.

Would be 11-17 months now if you put your deposit down when you inquired. That would be my honest suggestion. Deposit at 1-2 of the big 3 (MM and Ciocca) then try and find a smaller dealer who can get it quickly. You have to hedge your bets, unfortunately.

And the wait will get longer as the Z06 will take-a-way 30% of the production starting in May of 2022

Z06 production won't have much, if any, effect on wait times for the Stingray. A lot of folks ordered Stingrays in the past waiting for the Z06 to come on line. A lot of what would have been future Stingray orders will shift to Z06 orders.

When the Z06 starts being delivered, there will be a lot of used C8 Stingrays on the market. That will also ease the strain on new Stingray production.

Nearly 40K 2014 C7 Stingrays were produced, and when the Z06 production began in the 15 MY, it also sucked up 25-30% of production with no effect on Stingray delivery times because demand dropped and went to the Z06.

What nobody appears to be telling you is that nobody on this forum or anywhere else can predict the uncertainties in the supply change that will be coming near term. You hear anybody making guarantees, turn and run.

My local dealer (one of the top 25 dealers) has 1 convertible on the floor and 6 more listed as in transit. All 3LT with $20k dealer mark up. They got one in this week and sold it a day later. Just depends on how much you are willing to spend to not have to wait.

After being on the MM list since June, I contacted a local dealer in September. He said I'd probably be looking at 6 months, which was still sooner than MM most likely. I received an allotment today.

54,335 C8 stingrays produced and waitlists are still over a year long. You cannot compare this generation to the 7th generation Corvette. It's a completely different time and model.

I ordered my 2022 C8 from MacMulkin.
I placed my deposit last February 11, 2021.
My C8 was built on November 4, 2021.
My new C8 has not been shipped yet, after a whole week it is still at the Bowling Green Corvette factory.
If it takes another week to ship and another week for transportation it would have taken a total of 9 1/2 months from deposit to delivery.
Length of time and allocations may be different now so it is best to deal only with honest dealers and ask them before committing your purchase.

MacMulkin Chevrolet is the ONLY MSRP Out-The-Door major Chevrolet dealer that is well known. No DOC fees, no nuthin'....
MacMulkin sells @ MSRP and you go home unscathed with any add-on fees.

Don't get what Hendrick - Duluth is doing confused with the ADM some dealers are charging. For the $8,500 @Atlantan mentioned, you get Xpel and Ceramic Pro put on the car by GlassLife Atlanta - a shop I've been using since 2015. They have a great reputation in the area and only advertise by word of mouth and a few FB posts. You also get the windows tinted. Price that out at any reputable shop and you'll see that at least you are getting something for that money even though they are marking up GlassLife's prices.
