Default Color choice

Opinions on C8 color choice? I’ve owned Pewter C5, Red C6, Black C7 and red C2. I like the Torch Red but thinking maybe something different. Narrowed it to the Torch Red, Arctic White it Silver Metallic. Opinions on looks and resale value?

Color won't affect resale value, IMO.

Check out ELB for a very nice color.

Of the three you mentioned, I'd go with silver as it's metallic. Neither TR or AW are.

They don't call it "RESALE RED" for no reason. ..

That said, "the little red Corvette" seems to me to be a bit cliched. Obviously I'm in the minority since nearly half of all Corvettes sold ARE red.

It all depends upon how much you A) Want to work to keep it up, and B) How much attention you wish to draw to yourself while driving. Red and Orange will draw eyes, Blue is rather neutral, White and Silver are like almost half of all cars on the road. No Green offered. Black looks great------for about 5 minutes.
I prefer to fly under the radar, but you're buying the car.

Flame suit on.

My 2¢

ELB was not on my radar ( AW, SF were) until I took a close look at a ELB C7 Z06. I wouldn’t change my choice for anything else, very happy with it for my C8.

As far as Colt , a Defender in 45.

Simple... black, BLACK, or B L A C K. Hides so much design gobble-de-gook.

That’s the problem, the “design gobble-de-gook” is the best aspect of the car.

How about the red mist. If it's a colt you're getting, how about a shiny black with a tan saddle.

Red Mist is simply a beautiful color and one that you might want to look into before deciding which way to go.

I always find it interesting to see the varied opinions here that are all perfectly valid. My first 3 Vettes were black on black on black. This one, I assumed I'd get black, but when I went to Kerbeck to check them out in person, I realized that I LOVE the design and nuance of the car, and thought it got lost on the black ones, so I decided to go with a color and black accents, to really showcase that stuff. That's what makes the world go round, I guess!

I am partial, but a red Corvette Red is always going to sell. If you have seen it yet, Red Mist is incredible.

Especially if you like red but want something different than TR.

If you want to fly under the radar you should not buy a C8. I thought about that also but after seeing a couple silver, white, black C8s on the road I realized there is no under the radar, it's the design not just the color that attracts all the attention. So I ordered RM.

there are no bad colors, having sold 2 TR's and a AW c4's and c7. Except chartreuse. Lack of a manual probably turned more sales away than anything. The old GM take it or buy something else trick. Soon as an EV you dont want. Colt 6920 or Delta Elite in 10mm

Silver doesn't show dirt or scratches as easily as other colors and tends to blend in more easily (doesn't scream for attention as much). That's what I liked about my previous silver cars including a C4 Vette.
