Quality issues with ACS Composite
Has anyone had any quality issues with ACS composite? I bought a few items from them and 2 out of the 3 items came in with paint defects and blemishes. Are they pretty good with getting issues resolved?
C8 5VM STYLE SPLITTER - Had a few paint runs, a lot of derby in the paint and it even had a finger print in the paint.
ACS-1VM ROCKERS- came in perfect condition
Z51 WICKERS- had deep scratches and sand marks under the paint.

Pretty common with many of these things. I'm sure most of that stuff comes from China or some third world country where they paint this stuff under a couple tarps in the woods.
I think the fingerprint is a nice touch though. It's like how an artist puts their initials in a corner of their painting.
Make sure it is real ACS composite products. There are lots of counterfeit products out there.

This is why I went with the cheapest vendor
eos
these are all made in China by the same company
you won’t notice imperfections once installed
consider The splitter disposable as you’ll scrape it sooner than later

Never had any issues with ACS Composite. I think they make all of their stuff in Canada. I'm sure they will be good about fixing your situation.

When I had my 2015 Z06 I ordered from ACS their side skirts and splash guards. The paint was good on all of them, but the side skirts were too long and I had to notch the front splash guards to where the points of the skirts would fit. I contacted Joseph, the owner of ACS and he wouldn't admit to his skirts being too long. I doubt my specific car was too short from the factory!
Also, I have found ACS to be frightfully expensive for same quality of stuff you can get elsewhere for much less. Case in point, ACS wants $499 for a set of splash guards!

BTW, splash guards are $189 (or $349 for painted). Heavier duty rock guards are $499. They have a wider edge for extra protection, a bladed shield that helps control rocks and road debris inside the wheel well, and an added downward extension to provide greater stopping power front and back.

Not sure why the OP came here first.
No company bats a thousand. What separates the great companies from the others is what they do when things don’t go perfectly. How about giving them a chance to make things right? Then come here to post your experience.

Do you know if I can ceramic coat this as soon as I receive it? I know with PPF it's suggested to wait 30 days but when I asked ACS they said to check with my ceramic coat guy....he just said to check with ACS.

I fully understand it's a global economy, and there are zillions of parts on the C8 that are not made domestically. I am certainly not a "buy USA-made or forget it" kind of person. But I am particular with certain things (home listening room amplifiers/speakers, headphone amps, grandfather clocks, etc)

I just received the XL Rock Guards in Carbon Flash from ACS and they are perfect. The Extended Rockers in Carbon Flash which I ordered are due in about 3 weeks. I found ACS great to work with as far as order, shipping and communicating when I asked any questions. So far so good I guess.

Simply junk as described. Return it, are at the least call your credit card issuer. Best of luck.

ACS is legit, painted in Canada, not Chinese junk as some are ignorantly implying. Talk to them... Their customer service is great. I've had their products on my C7 & C8.
