How long did you wait from production to delivery?
I know there are MANY spreadsheets running with time frames tracking orders going from 2000 to 3000, than 3000 to 3300 w/ a TPW but there is quite a bit of falloff of information from Production (3800) to Delivery (6000) to us. This is completely understandable as I suspect those same folks are busy enjoying their new car! What information is out there, is all over the place. From almost a week to almost a month.
I have a TPW of 10/11 and based on VIN trends, it looks like it will be built mid-day on Monday 10/11 (This coming Monday). My C8 will be shipping to a larger volume dealer in Ohio (Coughlin), so not too far of a drive and I assume it shouldn't take too long to fill a truck to go up his way. So, I guess how long the PDI also takes.
I'm curious what other owners have experienced in terms of time frames:
- From production (3800) to Available to Ship (4000)
- From Available to ship (4000) to Shipped (4200)?
- From Shipped (4200) to Deliver to Dealer (5000)?
- From Deliver to Dealer (5000) to Deliver to Customer (6000)?
I guess ultimately, I'm most curious about the time frames it took from 3800 to 6000. I have a few moving parts to be able to pick her up in Ohio from the Chicago area, and I'm wondering if I will be be able to pick her up by the end of the October, or is 2-3 weeks too optimistic?

Mine was built Friday August 21, and I took delivery at my dealer Friday, August 28, 2020. I don't know the specifics of each status code after 3800 the day it was built. One disclaimer is I live only 2 hours from Bowling Green so it's not like it was shipped across the country.

If your car has dual stripes or the hood stinger stripes they get put on after the car is built. My car was built 8/19 and didn't ship until 8/30 and was delivered 9/1

My car was built on Thursday September 16th and in my dealers lot on Thursday September 23rd.
I ordered dual racing stripes and I know they are put on after production in a different location.
I was pleasantly surprised at how fast after production my car showed up at my dealer.

2020 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
My was built on Sept 18th and showed up at the dealer around the 25th.
It took about a week later for the car to arrive in Vegas while coming from the East Coast.

I waited 17 Months and 6 days for delivery - Deposit placed on July 31, 2019. Built December 23 2020. Delivered to the Dealer on Jan 5 2021 and I drove it away on January 6, 2021.
The stripes are not factory and there were no dealer installed options.

Thanks guys. Even with a small sample size, and varied locations across the country that is averaging only 12 days from production to delivery. Incredible. Seems once the wait is over, and the car is built, both GM and the dealer wants to expedite delivery and get paid!

Mine is being built next week too but I'm not sure of which day. Also coming to Columbus so probably on the same truck. 2 months from order to delivery. Last December my 20 took 5 days from production to delivery to the same Ohio dealer.

Short commute
I did Museum Delivery for my '08. If memory serves my car was built (complete) and then their was a strike and my car was stuck on the wrong side of the picket line. The wait REALLY sucked for the strike to end, and for me to finally take delivery at the museum. Bucket list experience with my Dad for sure.

Mine was caught up in some QC hold. Took another 6 weeks to show up at the dealership.
