Anyone from Maryland have or do not have the front lift…. Is it worth the 2,000.00 price tag.…

I'm in PG County. No car yet, 10/11 TPW, but it's on my build. Even if the likelihood of using it regularly is low, I'd rather have it and not need it, than not have it and wishing I did A couple local friends have it and expressed no buyer's remorse. One friend doesn't, and bottomed out coming out of a drive in Ocean City, and for that one instance alone, he wishes he had it.

My car is months away but I’ll be getting it if I go 2LT. I regularly drive in Arlington, DC, MoCo, SoMD and I expect to get value out of it.

There was a thread a couple months ago about it https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1603714585

No idea why living in Maryland is a factor in any decision re: the front lift option but, yes, I have it in my soon to be delivered HTC.

Cheers!

this will be your daily driver? I planning on driving the car. So the front lift make sense.

Im in MD, dont have it, havent needed it in 2600 miles, even driving it into DC on occasion (like today).

Only time I have come close is on a good inclined entry to a business, I took it on an angle and no scrape.

NOW, if I had a driveway that was angled or another place that I KNOW I would need it that I travel frequently, sure, add it.

On the C8 it does not seem to be the height of the front end as much as the length of the front end overhang.

In short, have not NEEDED it anywhere. Nothing close on surface streets. Was close a few times on inclined entry ways.

Only way to "be wrong" is to NOT have it but find that you NEED it. Personal preference IMO.

The front lift is worth every penny The memory function is awesome.
We do not live in your area, but there are a few heavy dips in our town and also our driveway. My wife was always frustrated being in our other cars that had lift trying to find the lift button, especially in a traffic situation. It is just so nice that it automatically raises when approaching now we have set it No need to stress if it is going to make it or not, just hit the button and it will remember from then on unless you don't want it to.
Another thing we do is trailer behind our RV. Loading and unloading is so much easier with the lift and I can easily get the over wheel straps on when securing the car.
LOVE IT!

Yes it will be my primary car year-round. Tbd how much I’ll drive with remote/hybrid work but I’d expect at least 6-8k/year. Commute, groceries, shopping, trips, weekend fun, all included…

I have to pay monthly per each parking space and I just want to pay for one space so it’ll take the place of my current sedan which will either be sold (it’s not worth much) or stashed in my parents driveway for them to use as a third vehicle.

What folks don't think about it's not where you know you have a steep driveway entrance or dip etc where you can drive at a crawl and at an angle. I scraped my C6 "skid pads" that are hither than the plastic air dam (which scraping in a non issue.) Scraped the bottom of my 2014 aftermarket splitter. Scraped my 2017 Grand Sport carbon fiber splitter soon after I installed the $500 Scrape Amor protector. In that case could not go down a steep driveway in town at a crawl and angle into heavy 4 lane traffic! No question I would and did get the Lift!

Here are some pics:

I don't have my car yet, but I can still hear the sound of my C6's scraping. I'm getting it!

I live in Maryland. I have it. I use it. I like it. I have the LT3 with Z51 and magride. I would get it again. If I was forced to give up one option, it would be the power lift. The car has good clearance, and goes over most speedbumps, railroad tracks, etc. without using it, and without hitting anything. But it wont clear all the bumps and dips that exist on normal streets and driveways. I go to shows that are in grass fields sometimes, and to restaurants that do not have paves lots, and I use it there all the time as a precaution.

Yep the air dame on my C6 scraped every time left my driveway. No big deal as I would just sandpaper the bottom a few times a year. BUT when I went over a dip in the road leading to a mall and the "skid pads" hit! They are made from aluminum and make the plastic air dam sound like music compared to aluminum on pavement! Added plastic FANGs!

I lived in Maryland for 30 years but I am now in Miami Beach. I have a 2021 HTC with the lift. I entered a public parking lot the first week that I had it. The slope looked fine but she scraped entering. I have since used the lift whenever I have any doubts. I am so glad that I ordered it.

I got the front lift because I don't know what the roads will be like when I decide to take the car on a road trip. I also live in an area where I found on more than one occasion that I had to enter/exit a driveway to a business that had ruts in the concrete/asphalt where others have scraped their front ends - and I doubt all of them are Corvettes. I went down a street in a subdivision the first week I had it with speed bumps so I used the lift. I'm surprised at how much I have used it and I've only had the car for two weeks.

Montgomery Co MD. Z51 with 6K miles. Dont have it, dont need it, A few times it did gently rub on a large speed bump if I go to fast (I have a few in my neighborhood I go over every day without a problem), and maybe twp steep driveways in 1 year. The splitter looks nearly perfect and its lot cheaper to replace then the lift option. I like simple and light weight for a sports car with a focus on performance, so dont need it - it is my almost daily driver.
