Default When did you get your VIN

I read through a lot of previous posts so I wouldn’t needlessly start a new thread but I can’t find an answer so will ask here:

When did you get your VIN and who provided it?

I went 2000 early in September, 3000 ~ 9/8, and 3300 ~ 9/18. No change to 3400 as of about 0900 this morning when I checked with Lori at NCM.

But both Lori and my dealer say I have a TPW of 10/4.

Is it overly ambitious to hope for 3400 status and a VIN at this point?

With a TPW of 10/4, you should go 3400 any time now.

You vin is in the system at 3400. You dealer needs to go into the order workbench and go to their Corvette orders and click on the ALL Tab at the top right of the page. The last 8 of the vin will be there. If they click on look up incentives link it will give you the full vin

Thank you. And he’s been checking the system. Guess it’s not there because I’m not at 3400 yet. I kind of thought I’d be at 3400 by now given a 10/4 TPW.

Patience is not my strong suit.

My TPW is this week (9/27) - I went to 3400 last week, Tuesday I think, and got my VIN Tuesday. My car should be built Friday, 10/1.

Your TPW is next week so I believe you will go to 3400 tomorrow and get your VIN.

Thank you. Fingers crossed.

Oh. And one other question. Where is the spreadsheet used to look up production dates for known VINs. Brain fart, I know, but just can’t find it.

And congratulations on the build date. Look forward to seeing pictures on the “got my car” thread, or whatever it’s called.

Who did you insure with?

Ive been with State Farm for 40 years and have been happy but have read on the forum that they are extremely high for Corvette coverage. Read on the forum that some went with others (Progressive comes to mind) because State Farm was three times as high! I’m not THAT happy with them.

Have State Farm give you a quote. With your long tenure with them you may be very pleasantly surprised. My C8 is premium with State Farm is $318.05 per 6 months. $200 deductible with coverages as required for my Umbrella Liability policy (also with State Farm).

Also, check the following claims satisfaction:

Is that with mileage restrictions?

If not I’m completely fine with that.

Have notice quite a few folks with TPW's of 9/27 moving to 3400 on 9/27. I'm guessing you will go to 3400 on 10/4. Guess we will see.

Remember all these TPW’s ARE FOR THE WEEK OF and not necessarily the actual build day. It could be the Friday of that week.

We’re wirh Allstate. Had AAA run a check for best competitive rates in our area, Allstate was best.

State Farm just told me $1700+ per year. ~$1500 if I drive less than 7,500 miles per year.

That’s high. I’m 60 years old, been with them 40 years, no claims, no recent tickets.

I’ll be shopping.

That's nuts. I got a much lower quote from Progressive and I'm 28. I'm just going to be adding it to my NCM insurance though. 6,000 mile limit is fine with me.

Every situation is different it seems so I’m just going to call around and get real quotes that I apply to me but, just curious, was your lower quote based on 6,000 mile limit? Because this will be my daily driver and I’ll exceed that by a lot.

Update: I just called Progressive. Their quote is HALF of that from State Farm. $800 per year versus $1700.

That’s insane.
