My C8 attracted a douchebag

Over the years I have "meet" plenty of DB's that degrade and think their POS is better than my Vettes, mostly young AH who think they rule the world.
and the worst for me are the jacked up Pick ups that think they can do what ever they want. Loud, bullies who push people around, probably since their youth.
Most of the time I ignore them, but for those that really think "they rule" the mall shopping lots and give me the bird, or worse. I keep one of these in my car and use it !!

No damage, but makes them BURN !

People in cars and trucks pull out in front of, cut off, move in front of, tailgate and do general stupid stuff, (have had it all) because they know that the vette driver will yield to them. I just let it go, more things important then dealing with idiots! Not going to change their behavior so smile and drive on

When I was younger, because of my size (ex lineman), no one screwed with me. Now I'm a crippled old man and people seem to respect my age. Thank goodness.
I think they wonder why an old guy that can barely walk drives a C-8 Vette, but that's another story.

I agree with Saleen! Let it go. Do you really wish to get involved in a concealed weapon altercation with an idiot?

I really expected to have every idiot in a Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, or Ricer wanting to mess with me but to my surprise most of them are in their 'family sedan' BMW or Audi.

I have been lucky. I’ve only run into really nice people admiring the car. I can’t tell you how many young kids and teenagers I have let sit behind the wheel while their parents take a picture of it, or start of the engine while they’re sitting behind the wheel. I tryto go out of my way to keep the Corvette owner image as something positive. Ive been lucky so far, I’ve only found the same respect in return.

Correct advice. You don't want to hear them say something like, "Sorry, your honor, but he was acting crazy! I had to shoot him. Sorry he's a paraplegic now.

My favorite is the South Carolina turn... You are in the far left lane about ready to turn left, when the DB in the far right hand lane comes across your bow and has their phone propped on top of the steering wheel and is texting. You jam on the brakes and HOPE the car behind you can stop before hitting you as the DB goes by.
Happens all the time.

The jackass at the Taco Bell was a bully, which makes him a coward. All bullies are cowards. He knew you had more to lose and he took advantage of that just so he could feel like he “won”. He will only pick a “ fight” he knows he can win. This is to bolster his low self esteem. When he gets his *** whooped he will be the playing the victim believe me.

My favorite is the "Y" Generation in her $800 outfit (ripped jeans) walking out of Macy's, looking me straight in the face (sitting in my C8) and asking me if I know how many people I could feed with the money I spent on "that car." There wasn't time for a conversation so I just smiled at her and said, "Yes and I fed them for building this car." That is the 3rd time someone in their 20's has approached me with that attitude. Once in Seattle, once in Bellevue (across the lake from Seattle) and at a gas station near State Line, ID. The "gentleman" in State Line got a longer response from me as I explained that I trend toward distributing my money to people who work for a living.
I guess I figure if they can get in my face for my politics/lifestyle, then I can return the favor... the tragedy is that I doubt my point really registered with any of the 3. And before someone adds that not all young adults are that way... I'll tell you that I completely agree. Until I came across this thread I'd completely forgotten about 2 of these 3 folks. The young lady in her fashionably ripped jeans, $300 makeup, be-jeweled hair and holier-than-thou attitude had me shaking my head all the way home. I guess I couldn't make my mind up as to whether I was being pranked or not!
I do generally agree with the old adage that arguing with an idiot reduces you to their level. And I get SO many more positive comments on the C8 that I tend to forget the nay-sayers..... enjoy your "wheel-time", you earned it!

Wait until you run into the ones that almost wreck you while looking at your car instead of paying attention to what their car is doing.

I have similar experiences. A few weeks ago I was approaching my exit. put my right signal on to move into the right lane and this DB who was in the right lane about 6 car lengths behind in a Honda nails it, and pulls abreast of me not letting me pull into the right lane. Now I had 2 options : first nail it, blow by him and exit or; just let him go. Well, I'm too old to play FU games with kids so I just hit the brake and pulled in behind him. We stopped at a set of lights and he gave me the "bird" and was laughing like a hyena. I think he thought his 4 or 6 bagger Honda blew me off. Oh well sh*theads are everywhere these days. My wife claims that the C8 draws them.

All ways stand up for whats right, never let the bully win because every time someone lets them get away with their sh*T they will continue to do it. They think its OK, the next time they will pull this type stuff on your wife, mom, daughter or the nice lady next door. Anyone that thinks you should just ignore them is also part of the problem and is just another victim although they don't know it.

So this is the first time I've ever owned a Corvette, so this is a completely new experience for me. Most of the attention is great, people simply admiring an amazing car. But yesterday was a little different. Was parked in line at Taco Bell drive-thru, and a douche in a '94 Subaru wagon drives up and cuts in front of me in such a way if I were to pull forward our cars would collide (he angled or cut himself in if that makes sense). So I get out of the car and ask him what the hell? His response was "I don't care you have a nicer car you'll move". Absolutely dumbfounded and stunned to the audacity and level of narcissism this guy exhibited. Anyhow, I backed off as it's clear I have a lot more to lose than this sad sack. Anyone else experience anything of the sort? I'm still shaking my head...

They are everywhere these days. As Shelly Marsh once sang:
So much pain in the world today
Too many turds are headin' my way
But we can face the turds together
Passing by turds whenever
Don'tcha know it's a...
Life so full of happiness
Feel free to mark my words
But me and you, we'll muddle through
In a world that's full of turds
TURDS!
Dime-a-dozen sphincter-lovin' turds
TURDS!
So much pain in the world today
Too many turds are headin' my way
But we can face the turds together
Passing by turds whenever
Don'tcha know it's a...
