HTC top down, windows up

I drive with the top down and windows down a lot if I'm just cruising around town.
But at freeway speeds, especially above 85 mph, I prefer to roll the windows up with the top down.
You really can't go wrong either way. ;0)

I'll ride top down with the windows up in certain situations but I agree with those who say it looks stupid like swimming with your shirt on.

I can’t believe there’s such passionate opinions on things like window/top configuration.
Throw up a middle finger every now and then and just do what you want without seeking approval from the internet first.

I wanted to, and still do, know if the nacelles increase the rigidity of the windows up.
Thread drift seems to be very common on the net.

how would the nacelle add any rigidity to a window?
I’m not sure what you’re looking for, just drive around playing with windows till you find it.

I think you're talking about if the flow of air around the nacelles helps the windows or makes its potential vibration or shaking worse. I don't know and about the only ones who'd know "how it was designed for those instances" would be the design engineers from wind tunnel testing. That would be the definitive answer. On the road, unless it's attached to the windows' edges, it would seem to depend on speed, wind velocity, direction of wind, etc. Anything else and it's difficult to make a consistent answer, but I'd doubt that the nacelles negatively affect the windows. They'd design so that it doesn't happen unless it's a very high speed. More likely it's a neutral design. jmo

Why would anyone think that guys who spend countless hours obsessing over interior and and exterior color combinations and then untold hours hand washing and detailing their cars worry about how they look going down the road ???
