Default Little Red C8 Wearing XPEL Matte Finish PPF

XPEL Dallas, TX, recently finished applying a complete exterior STEALTH ppf wrap on this 2021 Corvette C8. The owner also requested that the black accents be wrapped in the gloss ULTIMATE PLUS ppf. The car was then treated with a FUSION PLUS ceramic coating and added PRIME XR PLUS tint to its glass.
This Corvette wears a grocery list of XPEL products! What do you guys think?

Nice work, but not a fan of matte. It reminds me of a dusty car/faded paint too much, lol. There's a guy in my neighborhood with a Rapid Blue HTC wrapped in matte PPF, and I think it looked so much better before, when it was shiny and reflected everything around it.

It like you guys do awesome work, I like the normal PPF as I have seen my buddies Blue C6Z in that film so I can pass.

No matte for me, to each their own. Mine looks like liquid red with XPEL Ultimate PPF and REVIFIFY self-healing ceramic coating, STEK DYNOcarbon high gloss PPF accents on front and rear grills, rockers, mirror arms. Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat.

Matte/satin finishes seem to draw strong opinions on both sides of the fence. Personally, I like them better than chrome wraps and probably better than the color changing ones, but that isn’t saying much. For me they give a cheap look to even the most exotic cars. That being said, I’m sure some people feel the complete opposite about matte/satin finishes and feel they can make the cheapest of cars look exotic.

I really like it. It does a great job highlighting the sculpted details.

Why ceramic coat a matte finish?

Thanks, I am really happy with it, simply amazing. I've driven the car 1,200 miles so far in heavy rain and on the mountain roads in the 8 weeks I've owned it. Had the car delivered without a dealer wash - in fact the only time it has been washed was when the PPF installer washed it and did a minor paint correction. I've only used the spray and microfiber cloth now and then to clean it. I haven't even washed the car once since I've owned it. Phantom Auto Shield, Acworth, GA - one man show. Tell him Dana sent you! He is a true perfectionist!

EDIT: Oh, I see you're way out West in Cali. Look for a Revifify ceramic installer there, you'll be impressed!

I much prefer the gloss finish, but looks like a good job was done on the install.

Yes. Sort of like a vinyl wrap but its PPF. If the STEALTH film is removed it would show the original TR gloss clear coat.

I’m a real fan of the matte finish. Almost every track machine I’ve driven was a matte finish of some sort. It doesn’t take as much of a beating
as a glossy paint. To be honest none of my cars, except for a Pathfinder that was used mostly in Maine’s backwoods, were matte. It’s a stealthy
look and different. The car really stands out. Kudos.

Thanks! We take the time to train all XPEL certified installers for weeks before they even look at a client's vehicle lol.
