Looking for after market upholstery matching vinyl.
Does anyone know what brand and color name matches the closest to Tension Blue and Twilight Blue. Can be automotive or marine vinyl.

Not sure on Twilight blue but check out Avery Dennison Gloss Light Blue SW900-632-O for a close match on the tension blue.

Any good paint shop can match any color
I use Seaquest Marine Vinyl for boats, most of the colors are a match for Baja boats
Check out Naugahyde Fabrics

Check out www.relicate.com. I purchased a couple yards of Alcantara fabric that is an exact color match for GM “suede” so maybe they have something.

Have you thought about getting a white vinyl matching the grain you want and using automotive dye to match the color

The leather codes that I think I found are: GM Tension Blue L8220 and Twilight Blue GM7963.
I did buy vinyl online but it doesn't match good enough for me. Can I paint on top of it and will the
color stay put and not crack or transfer color to clothing or do you think I should start with white vinyl
and paint it. Is it spray on or can it be applies with a roller? I'm very new to this so I'm really clueless.
Do you know if theres a cross color match to aftermarket vinyls if I have the GM leather color code?

Take the code to them and they will make a pint (about all you need) of the color
Remember to tell them it is to color vinyl
There is a prep to wipe down to vinyl, get a small pint of that also ( Or what ever they sell)
Tell them what you want to do and they should be able to help you
some places will mix up a 16oz rattle can of the paint-easiest to use
or you can get a preval if you don't have access to a compressor to spray with a spray gun.
I would roll out the fabric and spray it all before cutting and doing what you intend to do.
I used to dye car interiors back in the day to change the color
Never had a problem with it going on cloths after it dry's
I don't recommend a roller
If you have enough fabric and paint (DYE) try a small area on your fabric
If it looks OK...use it
If not
Get some white vinyl
BTW...What do you plan on doing????
Maybe someone else can give you some tips
