Default BEWARE if you build your car on Chevy site & then submit to dealer as order

I checked my build on the Chevy site, including that I had chosen Trident Spectra Gray wheels and saved it. The next morning I printed it out and created the link to submit it to my dealer to order. Unbeknownst to me, the site changed the wheel selection from Spectra Gray to Sterling Silver. Later that day my son noticed that the order was for Trident Sterling Silver wheels and I went back to the Chevy site and sure enough, it showed I had selected Sterling Silver. I changed it to Spectra Gray and the next time I visited, it had reverted to Sterling Silver. Fortunately I was able to have the dealer revise my selection before the order went to 2000. I don't know if this is a bug with the software or a peculiarity with my browser but I would advise others to be aware of this issue and triple-check their order.

I never counted on the sites, went with a step by step with the salesperson, in my case, Mike Furman was right on top of it, received the option list ordered and verified.
Got exactly what I ordered. Best car sales experience I ever had.

When I ordered mine, I sent MacMulkin the list of option codes, trim, colors, etc. They entered the order and then sent me a copy of the WorkBench order to verify.

Dealer enters the build manually anyway.
They should send you an email to confirm all options, that they entered, before submission.

I ordered through MacMulkin and they did send me the workbench order to check through and approve. Since the change in tires did not change the MSRP of the car, I incorrectly assumed that everything was okay. I used my erroneous build sheet that I printed off of the site to compare RPO codes [WITHOUT READING THEIR DESCRIPTION:my fatal error!] with what MacMulkin entered and everything jibed. It wasn't until later that night when my son and I were on the phone playing with the build feature that he noticed that it was showing sterling silver whels rather than spectra gray. All good now.

I'm not sure I'd rely on submitting an order to dealer through the website at all. If you want a car, work directly with a dealer and give him a deposit.

The order was not submitted through the website. The car was "built" on the website and then the site provides a link so you can email your build, that includes the various RPO codes, to the dealer. The issue was that for some reason the wheel selection reverts to sterling silver each time the "saved" vehicle is called up and that is what caused the confusion when I visited the site the next morning even though I had "saved" spectra grey wheels the night before. Just wanted to make others aware of this.

Exactly! When I ordered mine, I sent my dealer the list of options and the codes, for everything I wanted. They entered the order and then sent me a copy of the WorkBench order to verify which I reviewed and responded back to them.
