Modified C8 of the Year 2021 Winner
- ACS wickers
- EOS XL splash guards (mandatory if you have aftermarket wheels with a lower offset)
- Vossen HF-3 wheels in double-tinted gloss black using OEM tires
- Mildly lowered with alignment settings for more spirited driving, but less aggressive than track alignment
- Carbotech 1521 pads for dust reduction from Z51 pads
- GM 'Jake' all weather floor mats
- Black PPF (Stek Dynoblack) on roof
- 5VM style front splitter
- Grill guards
- Paragon blue wide-angle side mirrors, jacking pucks
- PFF and ceramic (not really a mod IMHO).

I have them on my car and really like the way they look on the Z51 spoiler. Mostly cosmetic mods to mine:

Stock 3LT Torch Red/Adrenaline Red Coupe with performance exhaust, red calipers, engine appearance, red engine cover, splash guards and black wheels. I'd rather have everything done at the factory/dealer rather than mess around with after market parts. I'll have my tint guy do the windows when it arrives.

I bought a set of wheels, TPMS and center caps along with all season Michelins. Now I wonder if I'll ever use them. PM me if you think you'd like them, (brand new everything.)

Went "all in" a few years back on a 370Z, and found most mods created unforeseen issues that created a waterfall of other problems. I learned my lesson.
For my C8, it will be:
For my C8, it will be:
- tint;
- Xpel;
- radiator screens;
- jacking pucks;
- wrap mirrors black (want the spoiler body color);
- paint machined lip on Carbon Black wheels, OR paint Spectra Gray wheels machined parts all Spectra Gray; and
- possibly wrap the roof black if I get a coupe.

Like you, I will be getting aftermarket wheels, HRE FF11's in liquid metal. Other than that, nothing I can think of now. Once the aftermarkets get the exhaust situation figured out, I will get Borla ATAK exhaust. I don't like the whole having to get your dealer to do a re-program for something relating to the emissions on 2021's with certain aftermarket (or maybe all) exhausts situation. I want to see that mature over time before jumping in.

I'll keep mine stock with minor tweaks and accessories (splash guards, grill screens, floor mats, trunk liners, dust free brake pads, etc.).

Window tint, ceramic coating, these go without saying really.
Screen protector on the infotainment screen.
Paragon front-end-lift lowering kit for Z51.
JLT3.0 catch can
Strut tower covers (installed battery charger harness with quick disconnect for NOCO directly to battery at same time)
Front end screens
Carbotech 1521 pads (Z51 pads are just NOT GOOD for DD usage)
Powder coated the stock wheels.
From the factory the stock wheels in black (paint) cost $1000+ over the same wheel in standard silver color.
I decided to have them powder coated in black color locally which costs $500 for 4 wheels. While the wheels are off the car, 1521 pads get installed along with lowering the front 3/4" and the rear 1/2".
With the money I saved, I paid for the paragon performance parts as well as the 1521 brake pads. If I don't like the powder coated wheels or black color, I planned to get some aftermarket wheels anyway so not a huge problem. Whatever wheels I get, they will have openings that a NORMAL HUMAN HAND can get into with a microfiber cloth to wipe them down. These wheels with tiny little channels and crevices are a PITA to clean.

My Corvette interests for the last 44 years has primarily been in restored and restoring C2-3s to original until purchasing My '17 GS convertible and now have a C8 on order. So keeping the newer Corvettes to OEM specifications is kind of ingrained in me. So my C8 will remain as Bowling Green built it. Besides they do a pretty good job in my book.

I learned many years ago that for every dollar you spend on mods, the car depreciates an extra dollar in value . About the only 'after market' stuff I put on/in any of my toys is air, gas and oil..... Our loaded 2020 HTC will stay just as the factory built it.

For me, my first Corvette, the performance is more than I can realistically handle. I will leave it as I bought it. .. On other forums of which I am a member, I see people who have modded their cars only be asking questions about why they are getting this error code or that, why the idle is rough, how come the tires rub, etc, etc, that are, what seem to me, problems of their own making. I see them trying to run hotter or colder plugs, adding (larger) turbos, stiffer springs, etc trying to wring more performance out of the car. I read and took to heart some advice I read long ago, If you want to go faster in your car, the money is better spent not on doing modifications, but in buying track time. Skills honed at the track are transferable and don't go away when you sell the car.

I've modded every Corvette I've owned, but the C8 will stay as BG built it except for adding the Paragon grill guards. Chevrolet is getting pretty good at adding options that they see people buying aftermarket.
I ordered a TR HTC 2LT, adrenaline red two tone interior, splash guards, carbon flash wheels and mirrors, performance exhaust, front lift, and side skirts. I like the look of the car without a spoiler. I will get it ceramic coated and may add some PPF to the front clip and side mirrors. Late August can't get here fast enough!!
