No, I don’t plan to because bent fins are the price of admission to mid-engine ownership.

Default How many installed or plan to install grille inlet screens?

I have seen many pictures that show a fair amount of cosmetic damage (bent radiator fins) as a result of rock hits or other debris hits. After a while it can become very unsightly.

I would like to know how many C8 owners installed protectives screens or plan to add them when they take delivery.

So here’s a poll

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that if they weren’t overheating during track testing with this on, the grill guards are gonna be just fine.

I’m getting museum delivery (hopefully on 6/29), and they are going to install them for me for $50. I bought them ahead of time and shipped them to the museum.

Smile in a mirror. If your mouth looks like this, you may want to have your C8 mimic your smile, otherwise, do the right thing and protect your looks.

It's not needed at all functionally. But definitely a good idea to do.

My Paragon grill screens are at my house waiting on my C8 to arrive at the dealership.

Does Paragon offer inner grill inserts or just the outer inserts?

Paragon are inside the grille requiring loosening all of the screws on areo panels. There is a video on their website. I’m considering Ezscreen which folds like an accordion and is inserted from the center no fasteners required. There is a video on their website, they can also be removed in the same manner.

I plan to install them as one of my first projects after I get my C8.

I may ask the dealership (MacMulkin) what it would cost to install them during PDI. I already own the C8Grills.com screens for both sides and center. What have people paid for dealer installation?

I voted no but not because of your listed reason. Mid engine has nothing to do with it. Lot's of modern cars including some expensive Euro cars have big grill openings now for various reasons and they don't gave grill screens either. It's just not that big a deal.

Hi,

I have a Criswell order which finally went to 1100 status 3 weeks ago and now has been pushed into a 2022, which is just fine with me. I will also be doing the museum delivery eventually. Can you please tell me where you got the grill screens as I would like to do the same thing.

Thanks very much,

Mark

After 7 months 6k miles I put the www.c8partsonline.com front grilles on . Took ten minutes to put on and come off in 10 seconds if I want.

50the coolant and oul tempurtures are the same as before I put on the grilles.

my radiators got beat up pretty good before I put these on so I recommend putting the front mounted grill screens on.

Easy on...ten minutes in driveway...lol

How about a better choice for not installing them that says, Don’t install them because the chief executive engineer for C8 says they could cause harm and overheat the transmission and void the warranty. That would be better wording for the “No” selection.

Can u let me know what MM says ? I also will want to get mine installed during the PDI if possible... I'm still on the waiting list so it doesn't make sense to ask then that right now when I won't even get my car for another 10 months 🤣
