Curious about this one. For those doing museum delivery is it feasible to schedule with them when you have your NCM delivery date confirmed? How was your experience with their shop? Might be worth doing NCM delivery if I can take it straight to them day 1 before putting Kentucky's bugs into the front end.
So this is what I am tentatively planning to do. In my discussions with Cat at Auto Armor, she said if I do an early NCM and they 'take over the car' before Noon on day one I might/probably get it back at the end of day two. I'm planning on the Full Front Plus Plus package for $4,000 (before 10% NCM discount; so 3,600). It's about $1k high vs my AZ guy; but then I don't have to do a clear bra or tracwrap. Need to get a 7:45am NCM delivery with that approach. Just the info I have gathered so far; looks like I "might" have a June allocation & September delivery.

That's excellent. I wish NCM and local PPF around that area were an option for me but alas I'm still a working stiff and can't sacrifice my vacation times at the hospital (which are used to visit family in 3 states and TRY to squeeze in a real vacation once a year). My next best option is courtesy delivery to Austin so I can take it straight to my guy there before driving it back to Boerne.

Hope you get her on time and enjoy your NCM!

NCM has recently chosen LLumar as it's PPF. I don't know if that means they will start offering PPF before delivery. Here is a link.

I've got a May allocation (now at status 3000) and have asked the NCM delivery folks some questions about the coordination needed to do the PPF before we leave on our trip home. Should hear next week on this.

Not sure about that; it's news to me. Thought AUTO ARMOR is their partner and that they are using XPEL Plus or something like that. It's been a month or more since I talked with Cat there. Let me know is you find out that something else is going on with NCM on PPF. Thanks.

The article I linked to is Dated May 4th so things may be changing. The demand for PPF has risen exponentially in the last few years. Maybe they plan to adapt. Most of the larger dealers have some kind of agreement with a company that does PPF.

It's basically a joint marketing arrangement.

“We are pleased to have Eastman Performance Films join the National Corvette Museum as the preferred PPF brand,” said Glenn Johnson, National Corvette Museum Board Chairman. “As one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of high-performance window and paint protection films for automotive applications, they take great pride in protecting both Corvettes as well as other vehicles our enthusiasts own and love. We are excited to team up with them and look forward to connecting our friends with their large network of dealers to preserve those beautiful Corvettes.

As a preferred PPF brand for National Corvette Museum, LLumar will be featured throughout 2021 in a variety of the Museum’s print and online publications. Ads, social media posts and educational blog content will relay the benefits of LLumar PPF to Corvette owners.
Back when I got my 2014 C7 NCM Delivery, the NCM was offering PPF (XPEL) installation prior to delivery. They used an installer out of Nashville. Turns out the installer did not do quality work. XPEL had to have my entire PPF job redone at their expense (which to their credit they di very willingly). Others had similar problems. Shortly after that, the NCM dropped the program. I doubt they will be offering PPF as part of the delivery experience - they just don't have a place to support it. Maybe when the new wing is built.

Benchmark Auto Salon Lynnwood, WA. Top notch work, takes extra time to roll all the edges possible so you can hardly tell there is PPF even present. He does a lot of high end exotic cars!

Depending on what part of VA. Here in NoVA I had mine done at Film Source in Chantilly. Several other C8s have as well. Every time I've gone I see at least one other C8 there.

In the area there's also the more expensive Exotic Vehicle Wraps but they are well known. Several other shops do it. But I think we pay a NoVA tax.

Highly recommend Bosworth Customs. I haven’t gotten PPF done but EVERY car I have see done by the shop is stellar.

I have been getting other work done by the shop over the years (Powdercoating, ceramic, tinting, suspension work) and that is stellar as well.
