How long have you been waiting for your C8?

I placed my order and gave my deposit in January 2020. Has anyone been waiting longer than that?

January 18th, 2021 10:32 AM and I should have my allocation in June..........depending if GM holds to their estimate for that month.

Frustrating, isn't it?

Two friends who ordered well after I did are driving theirs. Maybe I should have gone with one of the big dealerships in a different state.

I'm new to Corvettes and I get it that these are not normal times, but it boggles my mind the demand for this car. I guess everyone saw what I did the first time I laid eyes on it.

I got lucky and MacMulkin is only 50 minutes from my house and even though there are plenty of dealers closer, it just made sense to go to one that sells a ton of Corvettes.

Ever thought about switching? Probably be another 8-9 months to get a car from MacMulkin.

I keep forgetting we made our deposits on the same day. I need a reminder, which one of us has the lower number? The lower number buys the first round.....

We chose to use our local dealer knowing it would be awhile. Did not know then how long, we surely couldn't forecast what would happen in the days after.

First, we wanted to skip the MY 2020 to begin with. From experience, we knew the 2021 changes would provide something interesting to see. And voila, Red Mist was introduced. So glad we did even with the wait time. And for BG, practice makes perfect so I like our odds better today than a year ago.

Before we placed the local deposit, I had called Kerbeck. Ask the guy politely how long it might be? Innocent query I thought. He said he had no idea. Really? He knew their monthly allocation and how many deposits they had. Its 4th grade math. When I ask just a ballpark? KABOOM with not even a courteous good bye. He hung up on me. Felt like Rodney Dangerfield.

Since 10/25/19. with Boardwalk in Redwood City (SF Bay Area). They're a pretty big Corvette dealer, but their list was already pretty long when I signed up and they haven't gotten the promised allocations, plus all the other crap.

It's been a long time. I finally have an early July TPW.

You've got me beat by 3 weeks...11/12/19. Finally got an allocation in March. Now the second long wait begins.

I pick up my car tomorrow afternoon but I am very frustrated with how long it took.

Not very long but I got very lucky, January 2021 I put a deposit down and got a call in March for allocation. I'll have the car in my driveway by mid June. I used a local dealer who got 5 allocations and I was number 5, 2 allocations came up in March and the first 3 people all backed out. In the end it will be 5 months from deposit to delivery. I was very much anticipating waiting a year, which I was fine with so I was shocked when I got a phone call two months later.

Put down my deposit 1 Sep 20 and my car was built on 21 April 21. Picked it up today - Yay! So, that's about 8 months.

July 2020 for my deposit. I met with my dealer three weeks ago to finalize my order. He said they would call me when it was submitted. I did not want a 2020 either, but if these delays continue and the factory switches over in August, it could be a 2022.

Since July 8, 2020 and still no car in sight...but, maybe this August. However, my buddy ordered his in Dec, 2019 and still no car. This has been the worst .....
