Entry and exit
My work garage is a challenge. I need to be a contortionist or perhaps convert to Lambo doors. Keep in mind I’m maximally close to my right wall. These doors are too damn thick!!!!!!

Me too. If my girlfriend parks too close I have to move her car out to get in. Which is almost every damn time...

For getting out when my door can't open too wide, I find I have to put my left hand on the door sill to push myself up and twist out. :-D

Just put the windows down so you can get in and out. That's how the Duke boys accessed the General Lee. All kidding aside, the photo shows how much wider the C8 door is compared to a standard vehicle door. I would go for the Lambo door kit if I was in your situation.

Window down roof up makes it much easier. This is a single bay garage but very important to keep my car off the streets of queens while I’m at work.

Solution-make it easier for her to park to allow you space. Place a rubber parking stop on floor, put up a picture/sign on end wall as reference point for alignment/parking, or tape floor to show "driving lanes", etc. Or how about car logos on floor to mark where to park?

People make jokes about scissors doors but that's the purpose of them on wide cars. McLaren promotes them as being practical.
The problem also happens in parking lots when someone pulls up next to you too close. Its impossible to get in from the passenger side and move to the driver's seat.
HOWEVER, HTC owners have a solution. Use the remote to pop the top and step in over the door. Better than waiting for the moron who parked next to your driver door to come back.

Agreed, silly thick doors... typical GM forethought. But, what better excuse for a new, BIGGER garage?

This issue was brushed off by the usual crowd before the car even started selling. It was clear as day tight spot access will be an issue. But the usual crowd said nonsense. Guess we see it in real life now.

Can you imagine the dent in the car next to the C8 if a door opens against it? I'm careful, but there's always a chance.
