You guys are HARSH…

It should look pretty nice with the natural interior and perhaps pewter or gray wheels.

I did not like it enough to order it, and I remain disappointed that I never got the opportunity to order Zeus, but what’s the purpose of piling on in this thread? Why not go on threads for colors you like and enjoy the positive vibes?

I do have to laugh at this. The hate is strong. Went to Carlisle to see it in person. I thought it was OK but not for me. My club buddies, who knew I was considering it, we’re waiting at their tent in the infield for my verdict. When I declared I would not be ordering Caffeine, I damned near got a standing ovation!

🤣🤣🤣🤣 man. This sucks for me because I was actually considering Zeus as an option until GM did away with it. I think it was a very unique color.

I think this picture with the pink awning and maybe the angle with the lense /light makes the color look so different from the other pictures. In particular those that Mike Furman posted a few days ago. I think Mike’s pictures show the car color more accurately.

When I read your post about “gold wheels” I laughed because I actually think it would look great with a brushed bronze color wheel (see attached pic) - great example of everyone has different tastes!

Here’s a picture of the wheels I’m thinking about..

The voice of reason… too bad many don’t take this advice - the world would be a far better place.

Same car inside. Either way, the color is a turd.

Once again - everyone has different tastes- I actually think this looks much better. I’m not a fan of the black wheels - on that we agree. Admit the color isn’t as nice as Zeus Bronze - but hopefully I like it when I see it in person bus I own one now! My fall back plan is a wrap is always an option.

Did I miss your build? Interior color, wheel choice, HTC or coupe, etc?

I think the one in the pic is not at all a flattering build…

Saw a new brown GM vehicle today, looked to be the same color (yes, I've seen it in person). First thought was "that's unfortunate". Then I looked at it a good while, and while the color is not a BAD color, it would look better on a motorcyle, or a pickup. It's just such a boring color on a car that is screaming "NOTICE ME" but is being ignored. Kind of just blends into the scenery. Too much black on it is going to kill it.

I didn’t post about my car - but here it is- I ordered through Mike Furman. I went with coupe/ 2LT/ caffeine with natural. Added GT 2 seats, front lift, performance exhaust, all body color, also added the front splitter and rear wing. I kept the wheels standard bcs I’ll change to something aftermarket.

the car came off the assembly line about a week ago and should be on its way to Phoenix. I live in San Francisco but wanted to have a road trip with my 16 year old son while we break in the car. So spending a couple days to drive back and going through Las Vegas then Death Valley.

Sounds like an awesome build and it will be a beautiful C8.
Please post some photos of it in different lighting along your road trip.
Not everyone wants to scream “Here I am look at me” going down the road.
Some of us are happy to blend in and quietly live our lives going unnoticed.

Wants to blend in and go un noticed ....
Spends 80-100k on a brand new mid engine sports car that looks nothing like any other car on the road lol 🤣🤣🤣 idk about that. I would like to see some chrome or maybe brushed aluminum wheels on a caffeine C8...I think that will do it more justice.

I haven’t placed my order yet and it looks like I may end up getting a 2023 but, I for one, hope the color isn’t discontinued after 1 year.

Thank you. I am anxious about the color but I did want something understated so decided to go for it. I’ll definitely send some pics along our road trip - Death Valley should have some great vistas perfect for photos (brown car blending in with the brown landscape ;-))

This is my first Corvette - almost bought a 2018 C7 (really love the lines on that car) but when I read about the C8 I decided to wait. I put my deposit down with Mike Furman in Dec 2019. Good things come to those who wait….

I am on the Ciocca waiting list and will hopefully get a 22 before they switch over to building the 23’s and possibly discontinuing the caffeine color option

I owned a DSOM ‘05 and loved that color, as did my wife. I think loving DSOM makes one perhaps more likely to consider some of the brown-ish colors. Hope you get your wish.

You hit the nail on the head. I also had a DSOM 05 and loved it and this color, although darker, reminds me a lot of it.
