Torch red will go down in history as most iconic color for C8.

TR all the way. I find it funny people think it's too loud, as though the C8 would blend in like a Camry in some other color.

If you're going to be a bear, be a grizzly bear.

Actually Torch red and red in color has been the usual in Corvettes for many years. They are seen everywhere, even songs about it.
I do like the people wanting to be different with the other colors. Makes them stand out from the crowd.

Skip TR and get a nice grown up metallic. Get Z51 with a high wing.Metalic shocks for sure.Black calipers unless the body color matched the caliper color. Stand out odd color calipers are like orange pumpkins on PU trucks. Finally get the body color intake, etc panels. Subtle interior to compliment the body color. Don't create a black hole. Be wary of the gray seats they always look dirty. Finally check with your GF or wife. She has better taste.Skip all C.F. It's just an expensive decoration that serves no purpose.

the Young Bull says "Lets run right down there and do one!"
the old bull says "No kid, Lets Walk down there and do them ALL"

I will admit this, with the impending discontinuation of SGM, before I got my allocation couple weeks ago, I had thought hard about Red Mist being my back up color.

That color is absolutely brilliant.

Actually, I don't want to "stand out", especially when passing the police cars. I use all my cars for my taste and enjoyment, not to impress anyone else.

No kidding. I find these comment mainly come from millennials and younger people who can't afford these cars, or they finance them for years foregoing investing their money and paying cash for these cars later in life.

I'm about to turn 62, don't own any tube sock or New Balance, and learned how to eat without dropping my food long ago - a talent I haven't lost. I will also pay cash for my Torch Red C8.

On the one hand, the TR color I love. So exotic like a Ferrari but, not gonna lie, a tadddd gaudy? I don’t mind right now, I’m young (mid 20s) but I plan to keep this car for a long long time and I’m not sure if I want to be in my mid 40s driving a super bright car.

On the other hand, I love the Shadow Grey Metallic color. It looks beautiful and classy and the depth in the color is so cool. I feel like it’s a more subtle color but still has some personality to it.

I’ve seen a torch red and I’m like “damn” that looks good and catches your eye when your passing one going the other way on the parkway 5 lanes over. I have also seen a SGM parked on the street and I couldn’t stop just admiring the intricacy of the color.

also Ik shadow grey is ending this year so I assume I would make the cut if I am an April allocation but I guess you never know. If i did go SGM but for some reason it was built after they ended the color run, what would happen? It’s already entered as a sold order if that makes a difference.

thanks for any insight
Good luck in whatever you choose, I don't really think there is any wrong choice, just preference. I was torn between the SGM (My first choice) and ELBM. Ran it by my adult kids, they all said ELBM, saying "dad, it's a corvette, it's ok to be a little louder." LOL - well I still love the SGM though, but blue is my favorite color! I like that SGM has some blue in it to me, but just didn't have as much fash as the ELBM. Honestly, go with your gut! Funny thing - I would have likely had my car this month had I gone with SGM. People with March allocations that are SGM are getting it build this month - my TWP (ty for sharing NCM) is 6/21. Whatever you decide - Enjoy!!

Might be the one response I wholeheartedly agree with.

Do what you like for sure.

Here's one method for making decisions such as this...

Flip a coin

Really.

Flip a coin.. if your heart tells you it's the wrong choice.. Then you KNOW.

Surprising how well this works.
