I ordered a 2020 C8 in Accelerate Yellow site unseen and did not receive an allocation. After seeing it in person, the color is not for me. I am a yellow fan but this looks more like a highlighter color. I went with Torch Red and have no regrets. I am hoping they have a new Yellow for the Z06. I would highly recommend that you see the colors in person so you can make an informed decision. Best of luck with your choice! This car looks sharp in any color!

I don't have my car yet but I chose AY and how my build evolved from Torch Red to AY is interesting...

After spending an inordinate amount of time on the configurator, just days before my build my final build was going to be ....very standard, torch red (resale red) with natural Napa GT2 interior. I like red cars, therefore my current car is metallic red, one prior to that was red, didn't want my third car to be red. I also thought, Torch Red being to top color of choice is going to be very common as you start seeing C8s on the road and I may find myself wanting to wrap the car if I get bored with torch red.

After watching the movie Underground 6, I wanted to wrap my red Giulia QV neon green, for that exotic look. If the C8 came in Verde Mantis or Ithaca Verde color, I would have selected that in a heartbeat. AY on the C8 has some greenish tones, depending on the lighting conditions. With the proper accents and interior AY makes the C8 look rather exotic. At car meets it attracts a lot of attention, and (reportedly) bugs. The AY is also different than banana yellow, see video below.

My TPW is 6/14, my 20/21s Vossen HF-5s in Carbon flash should be here next week from Motorsports LA, they will look great on the AY C8. Once I get my car will do a proper photo shoot and post up photos. The other consideration for me was, AY being a very low volume color, could be be on the chopping block and I wanted to get one before that happened.

Since you are undecided, if possible I would suggest go see it in person, in different light conditions before placing your order. Don't order this color if you aren't excited about it as I am. My build in my signature below...

I also initially had an Accelerate Yellow on order as I was hoping it was similar to past Corvette Yellows. My C7 is Torch Red but it was a tough decision between that and Corvette Racing Yellow. When they announced the yellow for the C8 I said I wasn't going to go red again and since it was close between red or yellow on my C7 I thought I'd definitely go yellow this time. Eventually I saw it in person and it wasn't for me, the Yellow is significantly brighter then past Yellows, I think it looks great in the sun but maybe a bit to much but I was ok with that, the problem lies in overcast days, you can really see start to see the green in anything other then bright sun and I don't think that works well at all so I passed. I will happily wait for the day they replace it with a good Yellow again.

You'll end up loving whatever color you choose. It's just how we're wired.

I have yellow on order, but when I first decided to order a C8 I wouldn't have thought I would get yellow. The more I waited the more I wanted something I hadn't had before, yellow kind of grew on me.

Don't do it, after a few months you will regret your yellow color choice.

Accelerate Yellow is a chameleon in pictures. Sometimes it looks yellow, sometimes more like "Shock" on the Camaro. Before any were around I ordered a Maisto model in the color, and recently took it to see another customer's AY C8 before he took delivery at the dealer, and brought the model with me. The model color is spot on, it's got enough green in it for me and I'm happy with my choice, just have to wait another 6+ months for an allocation.

He's right. And even if you don't get sick of it, you'll definitely get super tired of people pointing at it, laughing and making vomiting noises.
