The stripes go all the way across the roof, whether it is carbon flash or body color. When my allocation comes up I plan to order a Mist Red HTC with carbon flash roof and and carbon flash stripes. I saw that combination at a dealer and the stripes went across the roof and looked fine. Since they are the same color, the stripes were not very apparent. I have also built various colored cars on the Chevy website and the stripes go across the roof. Note that If the HTC roof was also Mist Red, black stripes would show above the windshield bar when the top was down. That would look odd to me. In any case, the stripes can easily be removed from the roof with a heat gun If desired.

Are you sure about that? Watching this video, I can't see any stripe on the roof of the car shown at that 13:09 mark (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHxXQV09OfI). I'm curious, because this is the color/roof color/stripe option I am thinking about going with.

I did actually stop by Corvette World today and they have 2 red mist cars there...a coup and an HTC. The HTC is very close to my configuration. They also had torch red and LB red there all lined up to compare.
The HTC has only been there for a couple of days and already has a "sold" sign on it for $118,000. I am estimating the MSRP was about $93,000 plus TTL.
That Red Mist looks amazing in person! The paint has a lot of metal flake in it and when the sun hits it....the paint really pops. Almost looks like a light orange tint to in in the right light. The edge red calipers also match the color really well. There are a ton of pics on their website if you want to see it. It has a 2 tone interior.....black and red..
I am so happy I chose that color....hard to believe I ordered a $100,000 car without seeing it in person. If you are on the fence...you need to find one of these and see it in person (in bright sunlight) before deciding. My fallback was to just sell it outright to Corvette World if I just hated it and order another one.....while making a bit of profit.
But that's not going to happen! I'm stoked to get this car ASAP. June can't come fast enough.

I don't own a C8, but longtime Corvette fan. I spotted a new Red Mist coupe in Naples, FL headed west on Davis Blvd. It was about 3 PM and sunny out. Just wow, that color popped and glowed like it was plugged in. Had what looked like a warm gold tone under the red giving it a candy effect. Flat out gorgeous. I saw plenty of pics and was not all that impressed, another dark red metallic. But in person on the road in sunlight it just blew me away. Seriously looked like show car paint.
Anyone on here lucky enough to own one or have one delivered, congrats! You made a fantastic choice!

I built that car and sold it to Corvette World, they received it on 04/03 from the dealer. I paid dealer markup of 4k. Made decent profit after Markup. I m happy they sold it quickly.

I bought my first new Corvette in 1969. Was working for a Chevy dealer at the time and paid $4,375 (invoice plus $100). Later that year bought my first home, a 2 bedroom condo. That cost $17,500. So yeah, about right on the money.

With some of the ages of some of these owners, I’m sure a modern bicycle cost more than their first house. Inflation is a thing.

I had not seen a Red Mist out on the road till this weekend in Ogunquit. Even my wife said what’s that. My reply…the car….the car boss! Looks so much nicer live.
