I will not be using them on my C8 I was not satisfied with the performance of the 1571s if you ever get them really hot. On the c7 they got greasy feeling when really pushed hard and had quite a bit of brake fade. Even tho brake dust was better I switched back to stock z51 pads they preform better for me.

Once that initial thin layer of dust coats my wheels they loose their shine and need to be washed. Why not just keep the pads designed for the car and wash them as needed. I wash the car pretty frequently anyway. I am talking about regular street use, not track or specialty needs. Just my thoughts at this point. I would like some better looking rotors though, ours are so plain looking.
Yeah, but it's not really a 50-50 situation (at least mine weren't). More like 90-10, good enough to not be noticeable and stand up to a casual finger wipe after hundreds of miles. Before I changed the pads it seemed like I couldn't go around the block without horrible dust.

Any reason your not considering PowerStop pads? They are 1/3 the price of Carbotech. I've installed them on my last (4) Vettes because they offer amazing stopping power and virtually zero brake dust...

Another reason I did not get the z51 besides more money, won't track car and has the same engine.

Changed my OEM Z-51 pads to Carbotech #1521 pads over a year ago. I'm very pleased with the elimination of most of the brake pad dust and the stopping power of the pads.

Wow. Back to stock pads and the way the car was meant to brake.
