I was just called this morning by my dealer, and I went to 3400 today !! Does this mean I can get a partial VIN? thanks

Yes you can get a partial Vin now. I just received a partial Vin from Mike at Criswell. 13803

I contacted my dealer and they do not know how to get it. ;( If I gave someone my order number, could they find out this way? Thanks for any help.

Just wanted to tell everyone to hang in there if you car hasn't arrived yet. The wait is worth it. My February allocation was delivered on Friday and I couldn't be happier. My only issue so far is a small rip at the bottom of my competition sport seat which will need to be replaced. Not a huge deal. Everything else is incredible and I can't believe how incredible this car is.

Beautiful car! And hopefully this week will bring the end of the long, agonizing wait to move off of 3000 for the rest of the February allocations. Looking at MM's status sheet, there's still some sitting at 3000 since 2/23. That's cruel and unusual punishment in my opinion...

I'm at order status 4200 but wondering if there's any way for me to track the truck that's got my car captive? Anybody have any idea on how I can find out so that I may plan my week accordingly?

My dealer was able to use an application to track the trucks GPS and it even showed an ETA for arrival. All dealers have this application. I'd give them a call.

There have been several posts about how the dealer can look up the vin. If you succeed using these, ask if your dealer will run mine. My dealer is too lazy. Here's a couple:


If you get a free minute can you check for a partial VIN in your GM Workbench again? I'm seeing on the Corvette Forum others have the last few digits (think 8 digits) of their VIN's at 3400 status and saw this to explain how their dealers found it "...but tell him to do an order inquiry manually and there will be a vin incentive lookup link..... way, way, way, way to the right." and "saw a figure that looked like VIN, but wasn't labeled that.".



He emailed me back within 5 minutes "Did not know that was possible, here is the last 8 :...."

Dear Diary,

It is clear to me that the Authorities intend to deprive me of my built C8 HTC as she has been siting in purgatory parking lot allegedly at "Event Code 4000, Available to ship". for 8 torturous days now. I feel like Charley Brown and Lucy every time I call that antiquated Concierge Service or the Chevy Chat for Losers waiting for their car. All of my multiple personalities are in agreement, this is a conspiracy to test my resolve. I shall over come, I shall persevere, I shall light the path of illumination to guide the February Allocations and teach the Marchies and Aprils that it's not over until Event Code 5000. God save the Queen, pass me the blunt.
